Most of today was spent working, taking care of Alisa, and keeping Frank comfortable. At 4:30 Alisa & I loaded up and headed up to Oklahoma to pick up the boys to come to Texas for their fall break. Frank had warned me that it was supposed to rain. I didn't realize how bad it was going to rain, b/c we got dumped on the majority of the way there & back. I'm glad I had the loaner car (Chevy Equinox) b/c it's roomier and there was plenty of trunk space for all of their stuff.
There was a really cool lightning storm on the way home that Julian tried to video b/c it would be dark and then all of a sudden there would be huge bolts of lightning that lit up the sky. I love storms like that ... not so much when I have to drive in them, but when I can be at home and watch them.
Here's how Frank's back looks today after surgery yesterday. The big one to the top left is where they put the leads for the neurostimulator. The one to the bottom right is where they put the battery pack. He's super sore and they won't even turn it on for about 2 weeks so that his body has time to heal.
