Happiness is...

I found this picture on-line when I typed in happiness. Not everything on here is something I would say makes me happy (curry, Buddhism, etc). But I liked the concept none-the-less. You really should click on the picture so you can see it better. There's a lot of good stuff on there. I am just in a euphoric and content mood today. So I started thinking about a few things that have made me happy lately.

• Having lunch with my sweetheart at Fazoli's today
• Staying up with Baby Autumn this morning from 3 am to 6 am. At first I was bugged that she wouldn't go to sleep. Then I decided to just enjoy it. I went through her clothes that Aimee gave us, and sorted them according to size. It was a huge relief to have that done. Then I took Autumn in the living room and just snuggled with her on the couch until we both fell asleep. It was such a sweet experience to have her just look up into my face and touch my face with her little hand. And to have her hold my finger while I fed her her bottle. What a precious moment I will always cherish.
• Great spring weather. Even though I'm inside all day, when I do leave around 9:00 pm at night, it's still a little bit light outside with gorgeous shades of varying blue behind the mountains to the west. And it rained yesterday, which just made me so happy. I love rain and thunderstorms.
• Being busy at work. Sometimes it gets hectic and I get stressed, but it's also nice to be busy and feel like I'm putting in a full day's work for a full day's pay.
• A special treat...I opened a can of mandarin oranges and ate the whole thing. It was so good, not to mention healthy.
• Laying in bed talking to the love of my life while cuddling. I love being able to share my day with him and hear about his day.
• Talking to my grandma and sister on the phone while lounging on the couch this morning in my PJ's.
• Making plans for the future...we still haven't heard back on the job in Cali, but just knowing we have other options available.
• A secret stash of Hershey kisses in my bottom drawer at work. I usually don't like dark chocolate, but I tried a dark chocolate one, and dang, it was good.
