It's about a photographer named Nick Ut who earned a pulitzer prize for taking the famous picture of the naked girl running out of Trang Bang on June 8, 1972 when the US dropped a napal bomb there.
Then that same photographer took the "infamous" picture of Paris Hilton in the back of a car crying on June 8, 2007 on her way back to prison after serving 2 of her 45 day sentence. Are you KIDDING ME!?!?! What is this world coming to?
It makes me wonder what happend in Nick Ut's life that led him from that historic moment in Vietnam to photographing "poor", pathetic, snobby, rich girls? He probably didn't even realize the ironic craziness that 35 years to the date he went from something amazing to something I think is rediculous. Maybe he's just trying to do a job and make a living. But I wonder if he stops and thinks, "What has happened to my life and career?" I guess if you still get paid the big bucks for taking a picture, that's good. But to go from history to Paris Hilton would be a sad commentary to me if I were him. Anyways, I'm not one to talk...I don't take famous pictures of anything. Just little old me with my ghetto camera taking pictures of everyday normal life.
Just some food for thought. What do you think?

I think the difference in the caliber pictures reflects what we value in society. Our generation in kinda indifferenttowards war and heavier things, but man, we loves us some celeb gossip and other lite tidbits.
