This evening Autumn and I went for a walk at the park. We walked past this mom pulling her little boy in a wagon. We both smiled at each other and as I walk past I hear the mom say to the little boy, "Did you see that little baby? HE'S cute isn't HE?" Now I know that if Autumn isn't wearing an outfit she might look like a boy if you just glanced really quickly at her. But I have NEVER put her in anything but cute girl clothes.
I've even had people ask me if she's a boy or a girl while she's wearing an outfit like this...pink while holding a pink blanket. Umm...I'm pretty sure SHE'S a girl if SHE'S dressed in pink. So I wonder if people just ask w/out thinking or if they really don't know if she's a girl or a boy. I'll have to start putting bows in her hair 24/7 until people learn to think before they speak!
Am I just being over protective and too sensitive? Or is it really hard to tell if Autumn's a boy or a girl? Be honest.

Lisa she is DEFINITELY ALL GIRL!!! I had people ask me the same thing about Kenzie when she was a baby, and I even had her wrapped in a pink blanket with a lacey pink headband on her head. :) I think most of the time people don't really think, and just ask to say something but not to hear the answer. In that park case with that lady she was probably used to saying "He," because she has her own little boy, and it's what she's familiar with saying. I know how you feel though, it should get better as her hair gets longer.
Let me at these dumb ass people. How rude that is the prettiest little girl I've ever seen! I shall beat every single ass for hurting y'alls feelings. I guess, it's time to get her ears pierced, honey.
PS I would have commented back at her...Autumn look at the the little girl isn't he cute with his Mommy. What a dumb woman! Seriously, slap her. lol.
LOL I love what Tara said that is so great!! So true though Autumn does NOT look like a boy.. are you kidding me. You should get her ears pierced that would be so cute!!! Don't worry about that stupid women, Autumn is the cutest little girl I have ever seen!!
I think he looks very girlie.
She is lovely! My daughter had her ears pierced from the age of 4 months and and she always wore pink and people still thought she was a boy. I know it's annoying but don't take it personally. She is so girly!
Speaking as someone who was confused for a boy when she was young,(Thanks mom for the super short haircuts when I was little!), don't take it personally. Some people are just dumb fools. She's a cutie!
