Sorry...no picture taken

While perusing blogs today, I came across Ali's blog and from that found this website called Unphotographable. I loved the premise of the website, b/c there are COUNTLESS times when I want to take a picture of something but can't. I NEVER go anywhere without my camera, so it's not b/c I don't have my camera. But sometimes I can't take a picture b/c:

1. The battery died (I'm going to go buy another battery so I don't ever run into that problem)
2. I'm driving and it's just not safe to drive and try to take pictures (although I have done that before...I know, I know. I'm naughty)
3. It's just not socially acceptable.
4. I'm sure there's more reasons that I just can't think of now.

Example of #2: This morning when I was driving to day care, I turned a corner headed west and as I came around the corner, there sitting so close to the horizon it was breathtaking was the moon. It was HUMONGOUS and bright orange. I wished I would have pulled over and taken a picture. However, thanks to the lovely internet, I was able to find this picture that pretty much conveys what the moon looked like. It was so amazing that the guy in front of me almost ran off the road when he saw it, b/c you couldn't help but stare at it.

Example of #3: At the Mavs vs. Lakers game yesterday, we were surrounded by a lot of normal people, and a few people that weren't so normal. There was this LOUD group of Lakers fans behind us, and one of them really had no business talking trash, b/c his hair looked like trash! Picture a Flock of Seagulls or Wolverine hairdo where it comes up in a curl on both sides of the head but then shave a big line right down the middle of that! I was nervy and got out my camera and pretended to take a picture of the game, when I was really trying to take a picture of this guy with the crazy haircut. But the guy turned right when I took the picture and I wasn't able to get it. I figured I'd better not push my luck or get more nervy by walking up to him and asking if I could take a picture with him. Especially b/c he had been drinking A LOT!

So that's why I loved the idea of that website...so many times when a picture would be great, but it's not possible so words will just have to suffice.

We saw the same orange moon on Saturday night when we were driving home, and it was humongous! I agree! It was scary, and it looked just like this one!
