Hair Raising Tale

Autumn fell asleep on my lap during sacrament meeting on Sunday and just wasn’t acting liker her usual happy self.  Come to find out, she has little white sores all over in her mouth (like a really bad form of strep throat).  She has been sick and stayed home yesterday.  Mom was nice enough to watch her for me while I went to work.  Today, however, mom had a dentist’s appointment, so I stayed home with Autumn until Mom got back.  Autumn was such a cuddle bug and fell asleep on the couch with her big stuffed puppy.  Poor sick Little Bug!

While she was asleep, I decided to try something new with my hair.  B/c it’s so thick and curly, I have no volume at the top of my hair, just the bottom, so I look like a triangle head.  I decided I wanted the top part of my hair to be lighter and layered, so I got out the scissors and “layered” it.  Um, too bad it looks HORRIBLE!  I tried taking a picture of it, and you can’t really tell how bad it looks here unless you look close.  It’s like I have this mushroom hat around the top of my head and then the rest is long.  Mom came home from the dentist and just gasped and said, “What did you DO?   You are grounded from scissors!”  LOL!  Luckily I could laugh about it instead of cry and I’ll just have to wear it pulled back until it can grow out.  Next time I’ll wait until she’s home to help me “layer” it!
