This morning, I woke up and decided to be try something different and straighten my hair. I haven’t done that in about 2 years. It only took about 45 minutes, but when I was done it looked HORRIBLE! B/c my hair is curly, it really doesn’t matter what my haircut is like, b/c you can’t tell due to the curls if it is bad. But, when it was straight, I had to get some help. I called up Mary and she said to come over and she would help me out. She did a great job and really made it look good. Autumn found this Skeezick (that’s what Mary’s family calls them). It’s a big skinny doll that you strap to your feet and snap the arms around your neck and dance with it. I think it had control of Autumn instead of the other way around, but she still had fun playing w/ it and it kept her busy while I got my hair done.
This cannot be a good sign…she found my phone and was pushing buttons. She ended up calling Don!
I wonder where she learned that from??? LOL!
She was NOT happy when it was time to leave. She loves to be over at Curt & Mary’s house. Jessie is so cute and plays w/ her and Curt is so cute and loves on her. She is spoiled rotten and loves it.
We came home and had some lunch, took Nick to work, came home and took naps, and then went to WalMart to pick up a few things. She had a little melt down in the sock aisle, but other than that it was a good trip out. We came home and she wanted some chips. How could I refuse that cute little face?
This is not a very good picture at all, b/c I had to take it myself, but I wanted to post how my hair looked straight. It’s so weird to see myself w/ straight hair b/c I’m so used to curly, but it’s so fun to be able to run my fingers through my hair. I just kept touching it and playing w/it all day long.
At 7:00 I packed Autumn up and took her out Dad’s clinic in Plano so he could watch her while I went on my date. We got there at 7:30, but I didn’t get to leave until 8:20, b/c 4 patients came in right at 7:45. But Autumn was really good and had fun playing in the lobby and watching TV in one of the empty exam rooms. I am so lucky to have such great family that are willing to help me out and watch Autumn for me.
I headed over to Don’s and Liz & Liberty were already there. We got in the car and headed downtown to eat. We went to eat at the Blue Cactus. We had to drive around downtown for a while to find a parking spot, and ended up walking a few blocks to the restaurant.
Liz & Liberty are SO CUTE together and I am so glad we went on a double date w/ them. We were talking about how it is to find a couple to go on double dates w/ in general. B/c usually just the women in the group get along well, or just them men. But, w/ Liz & Liberty we all get along great and they are just fun people to be around. I wish I had gotten some pictures of Don and I together. Oh, well...next time.
Dinner was really good and we had so much fun. Then after dinner we went and drove around Dallas. Liz was especially excited to go to the gay section of Dallas and kept banging on the window and yelling to people on the street that she loved them as we drove by. She cracks me up! By that time it was 12:00 am (we didn’t even get to the restaurant until 9:30). We went back to Don’s apartment and made some snicker doodle cookies and then called it a night. It was such a fun date night and I hope we go out on another double date again soon!
