Special Package From Germany

IMG_9217 Today when we got home Dad was outside working in the yard.  Autumn wanted to join him.  They are such cute pals together.  We got a special package in the mail and Autumn thought she was hot stuff when Dad let her carry some of the mail.

IMG_9215 She helped water the flowers on the porch.  They are SO PRETTY!

IMG_9218 We got a special package today from Melitta & Patrick &  Oma & Opa in Germany.  They were THE BEST neighbors ever!  They were so good to us when we lived next door to them in Germany.  Even though that was 20 years ago, we still love them just as much.  We only talk to them a few times a year, but we love and miss them so much.  They sent us some KINDER EGGS!!!  If you have never had the pleasure of having a kinder egg, you are MISSING OUT!

IMG_9224 It’s 2 pieces of chocolate that are egg shaped and inside is a little yellow plastic thing that is supposed to be the yolk.  And inside the yellow plastic thing is a toy.  Sometimes it’s just a little figurine, but the best is when it’s a toy you get to put together.  I LOVE kinder eggs, and it was such a fun surprise to get this package from them.

IMG_9239 They even sent a bag of these cute little chocolates that look like lady bugs.

IMG_9240 The absolute BEST, however are these Kinder shokolade!  Talk about heaven on earth!  I could easily eat 20 of these.  I am so thankful that we got to live off of the military base when we were in Germany.  We lived in a little village and I have so many good memories from our 2 years we lived in Germany.  We lived there when the Berlin Wall came down.  I was only 8 and 9 years old when we lived there, so I didn’t really appreciate how great it was to live there, but I’m thankful that I was old enough to remember it and the great things I was able to experience while we lived there.  The best thing about Germany wasn’t the castles or volkmarches or even the amazing food.  It was definitely having the Patzolds for our neighbors.

1) I adore Kinder Eggs.
2) Congrats on the house! I'm so excited! If you need help, let me know. I can't move any boxes, but I could watch your baby.
