Update

I haven’t blogged in a while b/c life just hasn’t been that interesting…it’s the same thing every day. Get up, get ready, get Autumn ready, go to work, pick up Autumn at daycare, come home, make dinner, and crash on the couch. Work has been crazy busy lately and I feel stressed and burnt out.

IMG_0549 It’s been so hot lately and I’ve been getting lots of painful chigger bites, so Autumn & I have only been on a walk once this week to see the baby ducks.

john On Monday, Autumn & I just came home and vegged out and watched TV, b/c I had a rip roaring headache and wasn’t up to doing much. I watched John & Kate Plus 8 (for the first time ever), and it made me SO SAD to hear that they are getting divorced. I know the media has been bagging on Kate lately for being demanding and spanking her little girl. How can you not be demanding when you have EIGHT kids? I dare anyone who wants to judge her and say she’s not a good mother to try and raise 8 kids and see if you don’t aren’t demanding of your spouse and give your child a little swat on the butt every now and then. I hope the best for them and especially for the eight kids who are the innocent victims in all of this.

shopOn Tuesday, I went on my lunch break to WalMart to get some groceries. There was hardly anything in the fridge, and I was not wanting to have PB&J sandwiches for dinner AGAIN. Liz came home from work w/ me and we went and rented Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was a cute movie, but I’m glad I didn’t pay $8 to see it in the theater. I’m glad I only paid $1.08! I had also ordered some pictures online from WalMart and got those today and put them in some pictures I bought at Target. I hung one of Andrew & Autumn and it looks awesome. I just need to get the other frames hung up and then I’ll take a picture of the final product and post it on here.

On Wednesday work was especially hectic and crazy, so we came home and watched So You Think You Can Dance and had fun dancing around the living room. Lately when we get home, Autumn wants to take off her clothes and just run around in her diaper. I tried something new for dinner…I put some chicken in a ziploc bag w/ some store bought marinade, and it was super scrumptious and EASY!

pineappleToday was a good day. I went to Bath & Body Works for their semi-annual sale. I didn’t even allow myself to go over to the lotion and perfume side of the store. I have so many bottles of perfume and lotion in my closet that I have only used a few times. I need to use ALL of that up before I even think of getting more. But, I did get some wall plug ins and refills for only $4 each. My new favorite smell is pineapple mango…it’s HEAVENLY! It makes me feel like I’m drifting off to sleep while on vacation in the beauty of a tropical island, and who doesn’t love that feeling?

Liz & Liberty invited me over for dinner. So, Mom & Dad were amazing (as usual) and went and got Autumn from daycare for me. They also had the missionaries in their ward over, and it was fun to reminisce about all the amazing things I experienced on my mission. We had homemade taquitos for dinner, and they were SCRUMPTIOUS! We also had guacamole, salsa, sour cream, or queso to dip them in. Then for dessert we had chocolate pie w/ fresh strawberries and whip cream on top. YUMMY! I am so thankful to have such good friends and the BEST babysitters EVER!

I am hoping things at work will calm down a little bit so I won’t be so stressed out and so I won’t be such a grouchy pants. I’ve just got to keep trying and find joy in the little things, b/c really those are the things that matter most. Like tonight when I walked into Mom & Dad’s to pick up Autumn and she was SO HAPPY to see me and came running over to hug me yelling, “Mama! Hi, Mama.” Just melts my heart and makes me so thankful to be her Mom.

Sounds like things are going good for you and Autumn. I need to come up and visit you all some time soon. I'll call you and set something up. Love ya!
