Happy August

It was a regular Saturday morning where Autumn let me sleep in all the way until 7:00 (UGH).  We watched Little Einstein’s and had breakfast and then we went over to the airport to pick up Mom & Dad.  They were in Utah this past week for a Hatch party, Haley’s wedding, and then they went to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole.  We got home from the airport and wanted to go swimming.  We went to get in, and this cicada was in the water.  It is such a creepy & ugly looking bug.

The purple sage in the backyard near the pool are blooming and are absolutely gorgeous!  It really is like the Garden of Eden in our backyard.

Autumn LOVES being in the water and is like a little fish. She likes it when we throw her back and forth, too.  She is getting so brown from being out in the sun.

Nate was doing some pretty cool tricks and flips and jumps off the diving board.

Autumn had fun doing some cool tricks of her own!  She was airborne for a little bit.

Curt came over to see what was going on b/c we were being loud and laughing and having a good time.  He had finally had enough of our gate around the pool not opening so he went and got some tools to fix it.  While he and Dad fixed it, I noticed that Nate was over in the pool slow dancing w/ Mom…SO CUTE!

After swimming, we came in and watched Cars and took a nap.  I helped Dad download the over 500 pictures he took on their trip.  Then we watched Ice Age.  We were getting hungry, so Mom made us grilled cheese & fried zucchini.  Autumn has to be a part of everything that’s going on, so she pulls her chair up to the counter and climbs up on it.  She had her feet propped up on the counter…such a little diva.

Autumn does NOT like it when Nate hugs me.  She gets mad b/c she doesn’t like to share me, and of course he loves to egg her on and make her scream.  That’s what he’s doing in this picture, and she’s pulling on his pants to get him off of me.

After we ate, we wanted to do something fun so we did Wii bowling.  I love it, b/c Dad gets so into it.  Look at that form.

Curt & Mary called and said to come over and get some veggies from their garden, b/c they have so much extra.  They also had some watermelon & cantaloupe that they gave us.  It was super good and I ate WAY too much and paid for it later on when I had a really upset stomach all night.  But it was worth it.

Christine came over, too, and we played Boxers or Briefs.  It is such a fun game!

Here’s the guys

This was one of the rounds we played where the cards were for Dad.  We were laughing SO HARD, b/c of the order the cards were read in.  The idea is that everyone gives one person a card and you either try to give then something that they will think is funny or something that is true.

I am big where it counts.

Anyways, it was a great day and a fun evening.  We finally got home around 11 pm!
