The other day, I was reading blogs and came across this post by Heather White. It's a post about how something she did 26 years ago when she was in elementary school, has come back to affect her life in a positive way now. If you don't want to read the whole thing (although if you do have time, it's a great story), just scroll down to the part of the post that is in red, and read that quote. This post had such a profound impact on me and really made me stop and contemplate about the people that have come in and out of my life and what their purpose has been. Why are/were they brought into my life at a particular time as opposed to some other time? What lessons am/was I supposed to learn from them? What are/were they able to learn from me and do/did I have a positive (or negative) impact on their life?

I especially like what Heather wrote, "Nothing that happens is by chance. There ARE NO ACCIDENTS. And all of the bazillions of "random" events that have happened and "random" people that have "randomly" entered and also "randomly" exited my life have had a purpose. No fail. No exceptions. Nothing that has happened, has just happened without bringing with it some great lesson or breakthrough or blessing."

In a post she did just a few days ago, she shares uplifting or thought provoking quotes. I scrolled through and read a few of them, and they were all really good. But then I scrolled to the bottom of that post and this quote jumped off the page at me and hit me like a ton of bricks.

"Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option!!!"

That quote was exactly what I needed to read at that moment in time. I have noticed that I do this a lot w/ the relationships in my life. I make people my priority, yet allow them to treat me like I'm just an option to them. I need to quit doing that and instead just allow people into my life who make me feel as important and I try to make them feel. Anyways, just some introspective thoughts I was having that I wanted to share.
