Chick-fil-A

Today at work we had the craziest thunder storm.  It was a torrential down pour for about 20 minutes and then the sun came out and it was beautiful weather.  I can’t even begin to describe how much I LOVE Texas thunderstorms.  They’re right near the top of my list of my favorite things in life.

IMG_2403Anyways, after work Mom called and said she wanted to go out to dinner.  We went to Chick-fil-A (CFA) so Autumn could play on the playground.  I have only eaten at CFA once or twice before.  Tonight I noticed there are some things I love about it.  One of those is this salad that I tried for the first time tonight.  It had fruit in it (mandarin oranges, strawberries, apples, and grapes) w/ grilled chicken and I got the fat free honey mustard dressing.  It was super tasty and the only down side was I wished it had a little bit more meat.  But, super tasty none-the-less.

IMG_2404 Another thing I love there is the Polynesian sauce.  I wish it came w/ a real big, buff, and brown Polynesian! ;)

IMG_2409 Something else I thought was cool is that they are closed on Sundays.  How many businesses honor the Sabbath day anymore?  I was very impressed by that.

IMG_2407 The only thing I didn’t like was that the play area didn’t have any place to eat in there.  The nice thing, though, was that it was glassed off so you could still see in there and it was sound proof so if the kids are being loud and running around, you can still sit and have a nice and quiet conversation.

They also don’t have the soda machine out in the restaurant part where you can refill your own drinks.  You have to go up to the front counter and ask them to refill it for you.  So, not my favorite fast food place ever, but it was good.

Dad was back up at one of the clinics and had to go in b/c a kid came in w/ a cut open chin that he had to sew up.  But, after he was done he stopped by and came and ate w/ us for a little bit before he had to go to another clinic to help out.  The only way we were able to get Autumn to leave was to bribe her w/ gum.  She LOVES chewing gum.  We came home and I gave her a bath and then she wanted to watch “Pride.”  I am teaching her to enjoy all the best things in life and she’s a girl after my own heart.
