Today this is what we woke up to outside…2 inches of snow. I can’t believe that in the middle of March we got snow. It was so warm this week and then of course on the weekend, when I have time to be off and enjoy being outside it snows. At least it melted off by noon, although the wind was wicked cold.
I spent the morning talking to Kesa, and she is such a great hostess. Then we got cleaned up and went to church. It was cool to hear the hymns sung in Tongan. I also went to the Tongan Sunday school class, and even though I couldn’t understand what was being said, I could feel the Spirit there. They had an English and Tongan Relief Society class, so I went to the English one. After church, Autumn & I were able to spend time w/ Mou and his family. They are so loving and welcoming and Autumn blended right in w/the other kids as if she belonged there.
It was funny to see Mou holding Autumn b/c he’s like a big huge teddy bear and she loved being carried to and from the car. Then it was time for Autumn & I to hit the road so we could get home before it got too dark. I also wanted to do some things to get ready for the coming week. It was a great weekend full of fun. Thanks, Ikakoula family!
