Sugar Cookies

IMG_3831

IMG_3837 Tonight after work/daycare, Mom called and said to come meet her and Nick at McDonald’s for dinner.  We went there and ate dinner and let Autumn run around and play for about an hour and a half.  I love sitting and talking to Mom & Nick.  Sometimes it’s nice to just sit there in comfortable silence, but I want to take full advantage of the time we spend together, so I try to keep us talking to each other.

We came home and I was in the mood to try out a recipe I got from Kristin for No Fail Sugar Cookies.  I am so glad that you don’t have to chill this dough, you can just roll it out as soon as the dough is made.  Autumn was a good little helper.  We only had one bunny cookie cutter and the rest were Halloween cookie cutters, but Autumn didn’t mind.  She had fun eating the dough off the beaters and then “helping” me cut out the dough.

IMG_3838 She also had lots of fun helping to eat the cookies when they were done.  I do have to admit that the cookies turned out awesome and I am excited to make it a tradition to always make sugar cookies (w/ this awesome new recipe) the weekend of April General Conference.  We also had to make the cream cheese frosting to go with them.  We topped off the night by watching our movie, Pride & Prejudice.

I'm glad that the recipe turned out! :) They are "never fail"... so I wasn't too worried. They're yummy though, huh??
