Words To Live By

A few weeks ago, I was reading the January Ensign and there was a talk by Dieter F. Uchtdorf called, “Hold on a Little Longer.” It was about the Saints in Kirtland, Ohio. It was an excellent talk, and everyone should read it. However, there was one line that really stood out to me and touched my soul. It was so moving to me that I had it printed off in vinyl letters (by this lady, who is awesome and did a great job and has super competitive rates) so I can put it on a tile to put up in my house like I’ve done w/ other sayings that made an impact on me.

I loved the basic truths that are shared in this one line. It speaks of being a child of God and having a divine nature. It speaks of having special talents and personality traits that make us all unique and important. It speaks of the potential and power we each have to make our lives the best we can. It has an underlying theme of positivity and hope and happiness. Even though we all have to struggle w/ trials and tribulations in our lives, this quote helps me to look at the bigger picture and realize I can have success in the end. That helps me get through my hardships in life. It’s also another way of saying that we can all have our “happily ever after,” b/c we have those traits and qualities in us. This quote just enlivens my soul and I’m so happy I can display it my house now! I hope it brightens your day, too!
