Happy Belated Birthday, Liz!

Today at work we went on a little “field trip” to a hardware store to train the employees about our product.  That way if a customer asks about what we do, the employees will know what to tell them.  The afternoon went SO SLOW!  Maybe it was b/c we only had three phone calls the whole day or maybe it was b/c I knew it was a 3 day weekend and was anxious to start the weekend.  We ended up closing the office at 3:00 b/c it was so slow.  I went and picked up Autumn & we went over to Mom & Dad’s to swim.  She is such a little fish and LOVES to be in the water.

She got out of the pool and went over to her little plastic kitchen and got the plastic phone out of its holder and brought it over to the pool and was just talking away and carrying on a full conversation with no one.

She even took the phone in the pool w/ her, b/c I couldn’t pry it away from her before she jumped in.  Talk about a spoiled kid…getting to take her cell phone in the pool.

Lately she has been using one of her baby blankets as a towel.  When she got out of the pool she started talking on the phone again and this time she pretended she was talking to Andrew and was asking if he was going to come visit and swim with her.  I have been telling her all week that “Drew” was coming to visit, but Lex & Jon had a change of plans so they aren’t going to be able to come visit.  We will miss them.

After swimming, Autumn was “helping” Dad to stain some walking sticks (staffs) that he is going to give to the medical “STAFF” (get it?) for the upcoming Pioneer Trek.  He’s going as the main medical professional and has been to SO MANY meetings.  I know that he (and Mom) will be glad when it’s over.

Autumn & I went home and got our present for Liz & went over to Chili’s for dinner.  It was her birthday yesterday and so we took a birthday crown for her to wear.  Autumn was concerned that Liz was going to keep it, but I assured her that Liz was just borrowing it.

It was Stacey’s birthday on Monday, so we celebrated for her too.  It was so good to see her and Jared again, b/c I don’t get to see them at work anymore.

Liz & Liberty are such a cute couple and I have missed seeing them all the time.  We’re going to have to make sure we get together and see each other at least every other week or else I might go through withdrawals.

The crown wouldn’t stay on Liz’s head, so Jared wanted a turn in trying it out.  I think it suits him and he should wear it all the time!

Nate came w/ us b/c Liz wanted him to come and our food was SO GOOD!  Nate got the bacon burger and could barely fit his mouth over it.  You know it’s a good burger if it drips all over your hands and you have grease all around your mouth.  Autumn & I got the southwest wrap and it was DELICIOUS.  We got the chocolate chip brownie w/ ice cream for dessert to all share and sang Happy Birthday to Liz & Stacey.  It was a great evening out w/ great friends.

Autumn & I came home and watched Peter Pan (she picked it) and then it was time for bed.  She wanted to sleep in my bed tonight and since it’s going to be a fun long weekend I let her.  She wanted to put some lotion on, so we got all slathered up w/ strawberry daiquiri lotion and it smells so much like summer.  Then we turned off the light and laid in bed.  She wasn’t quite unwound from the day, so we sang some Primary songs and then went to sleep.
