And The Winner Is…

…SLOANE!!!
Thanks to everyone who entered my little giveaway. I wish I had enough to send presents to everyone that entered. Sloane is special to me, b/c she and her friend who live in New York randomly found Autumn's blog one day and then found mine and have been there for me through the divorce w/ Jason and all my dating drama. Sloane gives me incredible advice and it's nice, b/c she knows where I've been yet can give me unbiased input. I've never met her or Penny, yet I feel like they are such close friends, and am so thankful that they came into my life. So Sloane, send me your address (via email or Facebook) and I’ll get your package in the mail!

IMG_2869 Today at work my boss told me I could leave an hour early, b/c we got ZERO phone calls and there wasn’t really anything to do. So, I went and got Autumn Bottom from school and we went over to Mom & Dad’s (like usual). Mom had watched Young Victoria today, so we needed to take it back to the Red Box. We called Nick to see what he was up to, and he said he was starving. So, we stopped at Sonic to get him a few $1 burgers, took those over to him, returned the movie at Red Box, got 2 more, and then stopped at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant to pick up an order we had placed.

We came home and ate our pork w/ noodles and spring rolls. We haven’t eaten there in a while and it was SO GOOD and just hit the spot. I love all of the different flavors and the feel of the skinny rice noodles. YUM! YUM!

IMG_2872 The first movie we watched was Couple’s Retreat. I never got a chance to see it in theater’s and had wanted to, so when I saw it at Red Box I had to rent it. It was a cute movie, although there were a few inappropriate parts that really didn’t need to be part of the movie. I noticed during the movie that Autumn was being awfully quiet and I found her laying next to the kitchen table w/ her feet propped up on a chair. I had given her some cheetos in her Sonic container and she was letting Emma lick the cheesy powder off her fingers.

The second movie we watched was EXCELLENT. It’s called “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale.” It has Richard Gere in it and was so tender and touching! I highly recommend that you rent it and watch it and keep a box of Kleenex nearby. It’s a little bit slow going, but it so worth watching. I haven’t cried during a movie in a long time, but this one definitely made me cry. It’s even better than Old Yeller. It was a great evening of just relaxing and spending time together. Autumn said she wanted to spend the night, so we slept in the guest room.

I just saw that you were at 1,000 posts. Where have I been? That is AWESOME. One thousand? that's quite a feat. Have I read it wrong (I keep thinking I have) because I can't imagine it. Look at you go. Um, Autumn was adorable today.
