Bug Bites Galore

Today at work I got some bad news. The dentist office called and said my dental insurance doesn’t cover any root canal work until a year after being on insurance (so July of next year)! So, I have to pay for everything out of pocket. I told them to just go ahead and book me for one root canal since that’s all I can afford now. They did that and then called back about 30 minutes later and said my dentist said I really really need to have both teeth done or else it will just get worse and that they would work w/ me on making payments for the 2nd tooth. So, I get to have 2 root canals done tomorrow morning. Woo hoo (not)!

Tonight after work, I took Autumn to her swim lessons at 5:55. This time I stayed for the 30 minutes while she swam. That was a BAD idea! I got at least 6 mosquito bites and when I get bit, I swell up and get a big old welt. After swim lessons, we went over to Mom & Dad’s for some steak & everything sandwiches. Since the A/C is still broken, we ate outside and I got bit by a mosquito on the hand and swelled up again. So, I went in the house and got the little Off fan mosquito repellent that Dad had from the Trek. In this picture I’m pointing to the big welt on my arm (you can’t really tell how swollen it is in this picture).

While we sat outside (and tried not to get bitten), the kids wanted to play in the swimming pool. You would think they wouldn’t want to be in the water after swim lessons, but they love the water. Autumn made sure to give Trace a nice cold drink of chlorinated pool water.

After Andrew got out of the pool, he was complaining that his foot hurt, so Dad just laid him on the table and did a little surgery right then and there to get a little sliver out of his foot.

Autumn & I went home and I gave her a bath and put her in bed and then Mary called a few minutes later to invite me over to watch the Bachelorette with her and Christine since we couldn’t watch it last night. Mary found it online and figured out how to hook her laptop up to the TV. So, I got Autumn out of bed and we went over. Mary’s house is SO FUN! While we were watching it, three of the young women in the ward just randomly showed up to say hi and ended up watching the show with us for a while.

Autumn had fun playing with Jessie, especially when Jessie got Autumn some popcorn. Then Jessie got a popsicle for both of them. Autumn was being too quiet and I didn’t know where she was so I got up to find her and found her and Jessie sitting on the same chair eating their popsicles. It was so cute! After the show (oh my goodness about the Jake & Vienna interview), we went over to Christine’s to see some nice new couches she got. Autumn & I finally got home at 11:00 and fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow.
