Autumn insisted on wearing her black/red velvet dress to church today. I warned her that it was going to be too hot, but she didn’t care. She was good in sacrament meeting today, but when we got home and I tried to take her picture, she became a little stinker all of a sudden. I think it was probably that she was just hot and tired. I told her to smile for me and this is what I got.
After making some silly noises and faces and telling her not to smile (love me some reverse psychology), I got her to at least look at me and crack a little smile.
By the end of it, I had her even doing some poses. I love that she is wearing her red 4th of July necklace. It makes her look like a flapper girl from the 1920’s. It makes me think of Thoroughly Modern Milie(LOVE that show) and the part where she’s too busty and her beads are on over to one side, and then the other, and then in the middle and then on the outside. Good stuff. And if you’re thinking to yourself, “Self, Autumn’s shoes make her feet look super long like skis,” then you’re right. They are about 2 sizes too big, but she insisted on wearing them. I’m just glad she didn’t want to wear her pink jelly shoes.
We spent the rest of the evening just hanging out at Mom & Dad’s (Mom made a super yummy roast w/ carrots and potatoes). I love relaxing Sunday afternoons. Next week we switch over to meeting at 9 am instead of 11 am! There went my one day for sleeping in. But, at least it’s better than meeting at 1:00, or 3:00 for the singles ward! I’ll take my 9:00 am and be happy with it.
