Meet Me At McDonald’s

Today I was able to get off of work 15 minutes early, so I stopped by the post office and got Maria’s package mailed off to her.  I have loved doing this giveaway b/c there’s so much excitement and anticipation to see who would comment, who would win, and then the joy of getting to share some of my favorite things with someone else.  I know that I LOVE to get things in the mail, so it was fun to know that I was shipping something off that would hopefully make someone else’s day.  I’ve got some exciting mail headed my way this week and go to the mailbox everyday just bursting with anticipation.  Anyways, just a reminder to myself that it’s greater to give than to receive, and that I should do giveaways more often.

I went & got little bug from school and she kept saying she wanted to go to “Donalds” for dinner.  We haven’t been in a while and I figured she would have fun running around and burning off some energy, so that’s where we went.  She was so happy with her little toy she got in her happy meal that she didn’t really go play on the playground very much.

I called Dad to see what he was doing for dinner and he said he was just working on the schedule and would come meet us for dinner.  I had to get a picture of this, b/c he doesn’t just dip his french fries in his ketchup.  He says french fries are just a utensil to get the ketchup to your mouth.  He LOADS up his fries w/ ketchup, almost like a spoon.  YUCK!

This picture is so grainy, but it’s so cute that I had to include it.  After we finished eating and talking, Dad said he had to go home and finish the schedule.  Autumn said, “I go to Papa’s house, Mama.”  She LOVES being over there b/c she can lay in Mom & Dad’s bed and watch her movies on “her TV.”  She is so spoiled beyond belief, but I’m so thankful that we’re so close to family.

She went with Dad and I got a few $1 burgers to take home to Nick.  We watched Project Runway and were SO GLAD they got rid of that guy that kept using safety pins to keep his clothes together.  It was getting late by this point, so I went to pick Autumn up so she could come home and go to bed.  She was watching Pocahontas for the 2nd time and didn’t really want to go home, but it was time.  I got her home and put her to bed and watched some TV and I could hear her in her room playing at 10:30 when I finally went to bed.  I hope she’s not going to be a grouch in the morning!
