A New Princess Castle/Car

IMG_7243 This little one never ceases to surprise me with the crazy outfits she comes up with. This morning she insisted on wearing her Christmas dress to church, even though I told her it was going to make her hot. Then, she wanted to pick out my outfit and we actually matched b/c we both had a black top and red skirt. I am kicking myself for not getting a picture of it. We came home from church and she disappeared into her room and came back out wearing this. I especially love the sunglasses and headband for accessories.

IMG_7244We had some honey & lime enchilada leftovers for lunch and then went to Mom & Dad’s to use the internet and watch some TV while we waited for Dad to get home from church. He had set out some hamburger meat he found in the freezer so we could have hamburgers for dinner. I am starting to think that he’s trying to kill us off with bad meat, b/c those hamburger patties were SHADY looking! I vetoed having them for dinner and instead we had breakfast for dinner (waffles and bacon and orange juice). I need to remember to do that more often, b/c it’s so fast and easy and good. After eating, it was time to burn off some calories so Autumn & Dad wrestled and as you can see, Autumn ended up the victor! I don’t know if it’s necessarily b/c she’s stronger than Papa…I think it’s b/c she wore him out.

IMG_7246 After wrestling, she wanted to go back to a more girly activity and kept bringing me all of her princess floor puzzle pieces. They were starting to pile up on the couch, so I turned them into a little fortress. She was THRILLED that I had figured out something new to do with them instead of hopscotch and climbed right into the box to make herself at home. I asked her if that was her castle and she just laughed and said, “No, Mama!”

IMG_7248At this point she was laughing really hard and kept saying, “It my car.” So, I played along and made “Vroom. Vroom.” sounds for her while pretending to turn a steering wheel. That made her laugh even harder and she thought she was pretty hot stuff to have her very own princess floor puzzle/castle/car.

IMG_7249 I love it when I can get her to do her deep and full belly laughs. She’s such a cutie pie (sometimes).

IMG_7250Autumn wanted some dessert, so Dad busted out the good stuff…the Blue Bell ice cream. This is a new flavor Mom had bought before she left for Utah. It has actual pieces of popcorn in it! It was a little strange at first, but ended up being pretty good. Probably not one I would buy all the time, but I liked it.

IMG_7251 We left at 5:45 to be home by 6:00 so our home teachers could come over and visit. We walked in the house right as they were knocking on the door, so that was good timing (and I’m glad I picked up the living room when we got home from church instead of waiting to do it right before they came). They gave a very nice lesson on the blessings of the temple. I had read the article already, and loved this quote that they shared:

Every foundation stone that is laid for a Temple, and every Temple completed … lessens the power of Satan on the earth, and increases the power of God and Godliness.
~George Q. Cannon

Anyways, after they left Autumn & I just hung out and watched TV. Then she wanted to dance and had me put on her dancing music while she got up on her step stool w/ her flowers and her Ariel doll and shook her hips like a Tahitian hula girl. She was not very happy when I made her go to bed a little early (b/c we have to be up an hour earlier than usual tomorrow). She kept getting out of her bed, so I would just pick her up and put her back without saying anything. After about the 30th time, she finally stayed in her bed and fell asleep. I watched my Drop Dead Diva and then Army Wives and I was out like a light as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I LOVE Autumn's outfits. You'll have to let her pick out her own clothes for the trip to San Antonio! FUNNY!!!

I love that first picture of Autumn! She's totally posing--the hand by the hip, the cute smile, the way she's standing... DIVALICIOUS! :)

PS: Is there a recipe for the honey & lime enchiladas? Because they sound reallllly good.
