Today at work I got a nice surprise. One of the sales reps brought me a Jamba Juice for helping him figure out some pricing for a job he’s trying to sell. It was very thoughtful and unexpected. Tom got back from a meeting around lunch time and we went to El Fenix for lunch b/c it’s enchilada Wednesday. We ordered our food and literally 1 minute and 30 seconds later our waitress came out with our food! I’ve never been served so fast EVER at a sit down restaurant. Anyways, I am so spoiled working where I do and really enjoy working for Tom & Ralph.
After work, I went and got poopsie and we came home and made dinner. While making dinner, I realized I haven’t cooked a meal on the stove in about a month b/c we’ve just been going over to Mom & Dad’s. Anyways, we had pasta and garlic bread and Dad came over to eat with us. We showed him the new shirt we bought (for $3) at WalMart yesterday, and he liked it a lot. Sorry, Mimi…they didn’t have one that said I Love Grandma.
Dad had a surprise of his own for Autumn. He got this shirt for her for just $2.50! I love finding (and getting) good deals. Autumn liked pointing out the different colors on her new shirt.
She disappeared into her room and came back out wearing her pink cowgirl boots. I thought she looked so stinkin’ cute (of course I’m biased) and she was giving me her, “I’m going to act shy but know I’m the cutest thing ever” smile. She even kept doing cute things w/ her feet. Sometimes I just want to scoop her up and smooch her and squeeze her to pieces b/c she’s so adorable.
I love her pink cowgirl boots, especially w/ her dark denim skirt and tan little legs.
After we ate dinner, Autumn said she wanted to go swimming. So, Dad took her over to swim. It was nice to be home alone for a little bit and get some things cleaned up. My good friend, Lisa, that I buy Autumn’s bows from called to say she was at her parent’s house tonight if I wanted to come over and pick up some bows I had ordered from her. I went over and got them and then stopped by Mom & Dad’s to pick up Autumn Bottom. She and Dad were out in the pool practicing the stuff she had learned w/ Ms. Cis.
Curt & Jessie were behind me on the road when I was going to Mom & Dad’s and followed me there so he could say hi to Autumn. She loves her Uncle Curt.
When it got dark we went inside and Autumn wanted to watch The Grinch while Dad worked on the computer and I went upstairs in Mom’s craft room to find some ribbon I could use for a project I want to get done. It was getting late, so I told Autumn it was time to go and she talked Papa into making her a smoothie before we left. She is spoiled rotten and LOVES it. We tried a new mix this time, Mai Tai (virgin of course), and it was actually pretty good.
I told her to go put her shoes on so we could go and found her pink boots sitting next to Dad’s big black boots. They are such good buddies that even their shoes match and go together.
As I was leaving, Dad said that they had gotten another letter from Nate, so I wanted to read it. While I was reading it, Autumn climbed under the desk and then said, “Papa you come in here with me.” So, he amused her and climbed under there. Then she said, “No, Papa. You put your legs in here too.” She wanted him to get all the way under the desk…just being half way in wasn’t good enough for her. He’s such a good Papa to go along w/ all of her crazy demands.
We got home and I put her to bed (although I could hear her in there playing and talking to her dolls 20 minutes after she should have been asleep). Part of the reason might be b/c I was using the hammer to work on my project that I needed ribbon for. All that noisy hammering probably kept her awake. I took the ribbon and nailed it to the top of the door and then took it all the way to the bottom of the door and taped it underneath.
This way, I can keep all of her bows nice and organized, b/c they were getting out of control with the way I had them organized before. I was running out of room. I LOVE having things orderly and have them organized by type of flower and then color. I did them in the order of the rainbow. I love how it turned out and that I have even more room to grow the collection. All I have to say is that my next child had better be a little girl so I can keep using all of these adorable flowers/bows. I HIGHLY recommend buying them from Lisa, b/c her prices are unbeatable and her products are great quality. She even puts a no-slip thing on each one so it stays in and won’t fall out.
