We woke up this morning to Dad knocking on the front door. He had a treat to share w/ us…doughnuts! Yay! Happy Friday! Autumn can sometimes be hard to wake up in the morning, but as soon as she heard the word “doughnuts,” she sat straight up in bed. I think this is such a cute picture of her & Papa. She’s looking up at him so adoringly and he’s so happy to be w/ his little princess.
While I was gone to Slovenija, Autumn went over to a neighbor’s house in Mom & Dad’s subdivision. They have a little girl that had outgrown some clothes, so they gave them to Autumn. In the clothes was this cute little doctor’s outfit. She didn’t want to wear it at first until Papa showed her that he was wearing some scrubs, too and that they could be twins.
I’m glad she finally let us put that on her so she could wear it to school today, b/c she looked so stinking cute in it. After school, we went over to Mom & Dad’s. Lately as soon as we walk in the door Autumn’s been asking for a “sandwich,” which is just a slice of bread that’s folded in half w/ some jam in the middle. I gave Autumn her sandwich and she sat down on the floor in the kitchen and poor Emma just felt tortured to have food so close that she couldn’t have.
I made boudain & cheesy broccoli rice for dinner (Mom was gone to dinnner w/ Maggie) for Dad & Autumn & I. Then it was finally the time Autumn has been waiting for all month…costume time. She was so stinkin’ excited to put on her costume and get her hair & make-up done. When I was doing her hair, she kept saying she didn’t want a bun, she wanted it down. But, her hair kept getting in the way of her collar, so Dad was trying to show her how pretty it would be if we put her hair up.
She kept telling Mimi, “thank you to buy this dress for me.”
She finally let me put her hair in a bun & then could not get enough of looking at herself in the mirror. She was so enthralled w/ herself. I’m in major trouble when she’s older!
She had to stop and give the pumpkin a kiss on the way out the door. I’m glad Mom & Dad got to see her dressed up tonight b/c they are going to be at the Ranger’s baseball game tomorrow night and won’t see her then.
We went over to Autumn’s school where they were having a Halloween party. You buy a stack of tickets for $5 and then in each room they had 2 games set up that were a ticket each, and then they got some candy after they did the game. Some of them were easy & were meant for the little little kids, like the one on the left where they just picked a duck out of the water. The one on the right was a little more advanced and they had to use the bowling ball to knock down the pins. Autumn just threw the bowling ball on top of the pins instead of standing back and bowling, but she didn’t care and was just happy to get her candy.
This is Ms. Hannah, who used to be Autumn’s teacher. Autumn still loves her and wanted to get a picture w/ Ms. Hannah.
This is a game where they had to try and get the horseshoes around the peg. Autumn didn’t understand that you have to throw them and just took them from the lady supervising the game and would set them neatly around the peg! So cute.
This is her teacher, Ms. Jennifer running the fortune telling booth. The kids got to pick a fortune cookie and Ms. Jennifer would read them the fortune inside. Autumn’s said something about loving others a lot and getting a lot of love in return. That couldn’t be more true…she is SOOOOO loved by so many people.
Autumn was excited to go visit Ms. Michelle, who used to be her teacher before she moved up to the class she’s in now. Ms. Michelle was putting tattoos on their hands. Autumn’s face in this picture cracks me up b/c it looks like she’s a queen and can’t be bothered to look at her peasants. That’s not how she was acting, b/c she loves Ms. Michelle, but her expression just made me laugh. Ms. Michelle calls her “Choctaw” and Autumn loves it.
I know I’m biased b/c she is mine, but I really think she is a gorgeous little girl. I had a lot of teachers and parents stop and tell me how pretty she is.
After we went around to some of the rooms and played games and got candy, we went and did the cupcake walk. I have to mention that Autumn LOVED getting to give her ticket to the teachers in each room. She would ask me for a ticket when we got to a game and then get a shy little grin on her face & a sparkle in her eye when she would hand over the ticket.
She got her cupcake and then while she was sitting and eating her cupcake, she saw a couple of kids from her class. The little boy in the Superman costume is Allen & the little girl in the Tinker Bell costume is Josie.
This is Aiden, and he’s Autumn’s little boyfriend. She was so excited when she saw him and ran right over to say hi. It cracks me up to see Autumn around her classmates b/c she is so much taller than they are. While waiting in line for some of the games, I had a few parents ask me how old she is and when I told them she was 3 and turning 4 in January they couldn’t believe it b/c she’s so tall. I am glad she’s going to be tall like me.
We had to stop & play golf and croquet before heading home. She does so good wearing heels.
Ms. Lexie, who sits at the front desk was wearing this big blue ball gown and Autumn could not stop staring at it. She was in a trance while looking at it. I couldn’t get her to leave until we got a picture w/ Ms. Lexie. I’m so glad she’s a girly girl, but I’m in trouble b/c she’s going to be a super girly girl when she gets older. She was a total jabber jaws in the car on the way home and couldn’t stop talking about how much fun she had and how she saw her teachers.
She was so excited to tell Papa & Mimi all about her evening. She was in such a good mood that she started putting on a concert and sang, “ABC’s,” “I Am A Child of God,” “I Love To See The Temple, etc.
She took off the white skirt she wore underneath the costume b/c otherwise it’s see through. She put her doll in the skirt and danced around w/ her. She’s such a princess and I’m glad she had such a wonderful night.
