Weird Wednesday

Today at work my boss, Tom, said he wanted to take one of the sales guys, Jared, and I to lunch.  He said, “I’m going to take you to a place that has some of the best BBQ in Dallas, but you might not like how the waitresses are dressed.”  I thought, “Uh oh!”  We ended up going to a place called Bone Daddy’s, which is like Hooters.  Our waitress was wearing a little t-shirt that showed her midriff and some short shorts.  I thought the decor was cooler than her outfit, though.  They had all sorts of doors on the walls, which I really liked, especially since I was so obsessed w/ old doors on my trip to Slovenija.

My boss was right, this was some super tasty BBQ.  And, the sides were just as good if not better.  I had the mac & cheese and creamed corn.  Tom shared some of his baked beans w/ me and they tasted like chili.  I got the pulled pork and all of it was scrumptious.  I would go back and eat there again.

Autumn & I went over to Mom & Dad’s and Autumn found this American Girl Doll catalog and was showing me which doll she liked.  The one she picked looked a lot like me and had curly brown hair, which I thought was interesting.  Especially since a doll that looked just like her was right above the one she liked.

Dad was on a vegetable kick tonight and wanted to have grilled zucchini, yellow squash, onions, and bell peppers.  Mom also made some sweet potato chips in the oven.  My favorite were the sweet potatoes, and the other grilled veggies were ok, but just as a side dish…not the entree like we had them.  Oh well, it was worth a try and I’m glad he didn’t try to make eggplant delight (it was some weird thing he tried a long time ago when Mom was gone somewhere for a week once).

After dinner, Autumn was in a feisty mood and kept wanting to wrestle w/ Papa.  He kept jokingly calling her “Stink Pot Johnson” and she thought it was the funniest thing ever.  She kept calling him “Stink Pot Johnson” over and over and laughing her head off.  She’s such a funny little bug and I appreciate the fact that she is such a happy and cheerful little girl (she takes after me in that way).
