Tuesday Taco & Treats

Not much happened on Monday. I went to work and got Autumn and we went over to Mom & Dad’s for dinner. Mom made salmon & baked potatoes (I didn’t eat the salmon). Nick met a girl at church on Sunday and got her digits, so they had been texting back and forth all night. She invited him to come to the young single adult Family Home Evening (FHE), but Nick had never been there before and it was dark and he doesn’t do well driving places he’s never been before. So, he and Dad took off so Dad could drive Nick to FHE.

I was going to go over to Christine’s to watch The Bachelor, but Autumn had a major melt down and Nick wasn’t home to watch Autumn for me, so I didn’t get to go. Oh, well. It was better for me to stay home and take care of Autumn. I watched the last 30 minutes of it once I got her into bed and asleep, which is the most important part anyways, so I could see who got sent home.

Nick got home from FHE kind of late and I couldn’t wait to hear how it went. He said it went well and that he got there and went and talked to Brandy about ani-me and then everyone played Pictionary. I’m super happy that he’s found a friend that’s interested in what he is and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that she’s a nice girl and that this might go somewhere for him. It was definitely worth missing watching the Bachelor w/ my gals for Nick to get out and do something social w/ kids from church.

Today when I got off of work, Dad called and said he was going to stop and get Autumn from college and they were going to run some errands. When they got done, Mom & I went out and met them at the Fuzzy Taco. Mom went to the Fuzzy Taco during her quilting class on Saturday and kept telling us how good it was, so when we found one close to us, we had to go.

This bottle made me laugh b/c it says, “Butt Burnin’ Hot Sauce.” That wasn’t the only thing that was burnin’. Dad had me try the beans that came w/ his fish tacos and they tasted awful b/c they had beer in them. YUCK! Mom said she was disappointed w/ the food b/c it wasn’t nearly as good as what she had at the other Fuzzy Taco. She had a salad and it comes in a big silver bowl so you can mix up the salad, and that was really good, but I think I’ll pass on the rest of it. My chicken enchiladas came w/ a really spicy green sauce on them and I was going to share w/ Autumn but couldn’t b/c it was way too spicy. So, she just had chips and queso. So healthy…not!

We came home and Mom said she had 3 presents for Autumn. She made her this princess pillow case.

And this pillow case that has lots of church stuff on it like baptism, the temple, the Book of Mormon, etc. I’m really excited about this one, b/c before we go to sleep every night I’ll have her pick a picture and we’ll sing a Primary song that goes along w/ it. Plus, it’s really soft flannel.

Mom also found this little travel pillow and made a pillow case for it so Autumn can take it to “college” and use it w/ her Princess sleeping bag. She loved all of her presents, and we had to laugh when she put the pillow down on the floor and put her stuffed animal on it and then covered it up w/ the pillow cases.

We spent the evening watching the Biggest Loser, and I felt so bad for Jen. Every time someone weighed in Alison would say, “All you have to do is not gain any weight like Jen.” She wasn’t trying to be mean, but it just kept rubbing it in over and over. I love that Jesse sacrificed himself for Arthur. I was totally crying at the elimination. I wonder if Alison ever cries and they just don’t show it?

Anyways, we came home and I got Autumn in bed and watched the last 1/2 of Parenthood. I keep staying up later than I should b/c I watch the news and then TMZ and then Whose Line Is It Anyway. I need to start going to bed sooner!
