Good Friday

Autumn is making her “I’m hot stuff and I know it” face b/c she got to wear her new t-shirt today.  She also went and found this bag all on her own and put her other Easter presents from Jason & Nicole in it so she could take it to Papa & Mimi’s today.  Her college was closed b/c of Good Friday so they were WONDERFUL and watched Autumn for me.  I went and dropped Autumn off and went to work.

Dad called while I was at work and said he knows Autumn isn’t feeling good b/c he took her to McDonald’s while Mom went to lunch w/ Maggie and Autumn wouldn’t eat much and didn’t go play on the playground.  She just wanted to sit there.  Poor little bug!  Work was actually busy today, which was nice b/c it made the day go by faster.  I got home and it was time for the party to begin.  We had fried rice & ling lings for dinner since Lexie had requested that.  Then the kids wanted to go outside and blow bubbles.

After that got old, we decided to go on a walk.  We went over to the lot to see if any more iris had bloomed (which they hadn’t) and then to go throw sticks in the stream.  However, the grass was way too high and there was barely a trickle so we only did that for a few minutes.  I thought this was a cute picture of Jon carrying Andrew on his shoulders.  I just looked at this picture and had to laugh b/c Nick is walking behind Jon but all you can see is Nick’s arm, so it looks like Jon has 3 arms.

We went on a walk around the neighborhood and saw Quigley’s outside in their yard doing yardwork.  We went over and said hi and Sis. Quigley showed us some cedar chests that Bro. Quigley is making for their granddaughters.  They were really nice.  Then we walked back home and had to stop and get a silly picture of our shadows.

We decided to have a race back to the house and even Lexie got in on it.  I know this is a blurry picture, but I thought it was cute of everyone running.

We spent the rest of the evening just sitting around and talking and watching TV.  We watched a few episodes of Big Bang Theory and the kids watched a movie in Mom & Dad’s room.  Dad got home from work and told Drew to come outside so he could take him for a ride in the Batmobile.  Autumn went out there too and so Dad gave in and let them both have a ride.  They were gone for quite a while so we called to see where they were.  Dad said they had driven to McDonald’s and gotten an ice cream cone and the kids were playing on the playground.

They finally came home around 9:30 and then Ashley & Jordan & Avery came over so Dad could check Avery to make sure he didn’t have an ear infection.  Autumn & I were going to go home to sleep but Autumn wanted to sleep in Nate’s room, so we stayed and slept in there.
