Johnson & Johnson

One of the purchases I made last night that was not on my list was this adorable outfit for Autumn.  It came w/ the shirt, skirt, and leggings for only $10.  I love the skirt b/c it’s so cute and know the leggings will be great to wear w/ lots and lots of outfits.  Autumn’s been on a kick the past few days where she doesn’t want me to do her hair and she just wants to wear a headband.  It’s not my choice of how she should look when I send her to school b/c I think she looks like a scuzz-wah-woo, but oh well.  It makes her happy and isn’t worth arguing about.

Work was good and I was able to stay busy by putting in some orders that I’ve had sitting on my desk since last week that all just needed one more little thing added here or there.  I finally got them all done and submitted, and it was nice to have that feeling of accomplishment and not that nagging feeling of them just sitting there needing to be taken care of.  I picked Autumn up from school and she was so excited to show me this bird feeder she made all by herself.  It’s a pinecone covered in peanut butter and little seeds.  She showed it to Papa as soon as she got out of the car.

She was so proud that Papa took her to hang it by his bird feeders.

I went in the house and helped Mom get dinner ready.  She made her delicious crock pot spaghetti sauce w/ chunks of roast.  I helped her w/ the pasta, garlic bread, and Meditr. Salad.  She made all that food b/c she invited the Johnsons over for dinner.  Scott & Brian drove home from BYU last week in their big van and they brought home a painting and some chairs & a card table that Rufio was giving to Mom.  Mom wanted to tell them thank you so she made this dinner and invited them all to come over.  Mom was chewing & Jessie was covering her mouth when I took this picture, but it’s the only one I took so it’ll have to do.  It was so nice outside that we sat outside on the patio to eat.

It had been raining earlier and these clouds were so strikingly beautiful to me.  I said that if you squinted from far away they kind of looked like mountains.  Everyone at the table squinted while looking at them and said I was crazy and just desperate to see some Utah mountains.  LOL!

We had mint chocolate chip Blue Bell ice cream for dessert.  I didn’t stay outside for too long after that b/c I started to get bit by mosquitoes.  I went in and Jake, Brian, Jessie & Autumn came in too.  We ended up watching Tangled.  Curt came after he got off work and ate some food, too.

Here’s Scott w/ Mom & the picture he brought back from Utah behind them.  Rufio had this painting commissioned a long time ago and it’s a picture of the view from her Dad’s from looking at Mt. Timpanogos w/ the trees in bloom.  This used to hang in the “peach” room at Rufio’s house.  We watched part of The Voice and then Autumn & I came home.  Can I just say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Adam Levine?  I’ve always liked him as the lead singer of Maroon 5, but he is a total cutie (which is odd for me b/c I usually don’t like white skinny guys).  I liked watching The Voice just b/c of him.

Anyways, there was a HUGE thunder/lightning storm so we turned off the TV and the lights and watched the storm through the blinds.  Luckily we didn’t get any of the damaging hail or tornados that a lot of people have had to suffer through.  I love a good thunder/lightning storm.
