Spiders & Sweets

Today after work/school, we went over to Mom & Dad’s.  Dad said he had a surprise for Autumn.  He got a big box off the table and opened it up to reveal this big old tarantula inside!  I kept my distance and just zoomed in w/ my camera to get a picture.  It was really weird b/c it had 10 legs!  I thought the front ones were fangs, but Dad showed me that the fangs were on the very front so it did have 10 legs.

We didn’t stay long, b/c we had to leave for visiting teaching.  I thought the wisteria growing up the side of the gate were so pretty and Autumn actually volunteered to go stand by them so I could take her picture.

We were going to go play horseshoes at the park for visiting teaching this month, but it had rained a lot earlier and there had been a pretty intense thunder/lightning storm.  So, since everything was still wet we changed plans and met for frozen yogurt instead.  Autumn thought she was hot stuff since she got to sit w/ the big girls.  She ate all of her frozen yogurt and then wanted more so I gave her what was left of mine.  After she ate that, she wanted more.  But it’s too expensive so I told her we’d get a treat when we got home.

It was wonderful to sit and visit w/ Karri & Lynn & Rhonda.  It’s nice to be in a group where there are other women who are divorced and I can relate to them and what they’re going through and vice versa.  While we were sitting and talking, I noticed that Liz had walked in.  She didn’t see me so I sent her a text asking her if she wanted to meet for frozen yogurt.  She sent back a text saying she was already there w/ her visiting teaching group.  I texted back that I was too.  It was funny to see her look around and then finally see me.  It was so good to see her and chat for just a little bit.  We have a plan to hang out together next Saturday.  We need some much needed Liz & Lisa time.

Autumn had a BLAST running around outside w/ the older girls.  When we finally came home, she wanted to have a purple cow.  She sat at her little table and I had to laugh b/c I noticed she had set up her doll and teddy bear to have a tea party when Nick was watching her while I was at the temple.  She had her purple cow and watched the last 30 minutes of the Biggest Loser.  Then I put her to bed and watched Parenthood and then went to bed myself.
