Wednesday & Thursday Wrap Up

Wednesday I felt much better but still was careful about what I ate. I just had some toast for breakfast, Gatorade for lunch, and then macaroni & cheese for dinner. After work, I was driving to get Autumn & out of nowhere got a rip roaring headache. Maybe I keep getting headaches b/c there is something bad in my car? Or maybe it’s the stress of driving home in traffic that keeps triggering headaches? As soon as I got to Mom & Dad’s, I took some Tylenol to help w/ the headache. It went away for a while and I was able to make mac & cheese for Autumn & I and beet greens for Mom & Dad. They had gone to see a movie and were out shopping for clothes for their trip to China but ate when they got home.

We watched Survivor and then Modern Family. My headache came back a little bit but then was gone before we left. I am so thankful so I could sleep. Autumn & I came home and I gave her a bath and put her to bed then I watched Hoarding & Extreme Couponing and called it a night at 11:00.

I woke up this morning and felt 95% back to my old self. Thank goodness! That was a long bout of food poisoning! I was making Autumn’s lunch this morning and decided to put this little note in her lunch box. Work was good and I got a lot done. I picked Autumn up after college and she immediately got her lunch box and said there was a note inside it. She held it the whole way home and kept “reading” it to me. She would make up what it said like, “Christian spilled his chips and was mean to me.” She comes up w/ the most random things sometimes but they always make me laugh. I kept telling her what it said and she would get a big smile and ask my why I put it in her lunch box. I kept telling her b/c I wanted her to know I was thinking about her and that I love her so much. She just kept saying, “That’s b/c I am your love bug.” Yes, she sure is!

We went to Mom & Dad’s and Dad was out working in the backyard so Autumn wanted to go straight out there to help him. I went in the house and helped Mom make dinner. We had a super healthy stir fry w/ chicken and yellow squash & zucchini. We also had a side of asparagus. Dad said it’s going to be funny someday when a boy takes Autumn on a nice date to a fancy restaurant and tells her they even have asparagus and she’ll say, “That’s not fancy. I eat asparagus all the time and why did they only give me 3 spears? I’m used to eating at least 20 spears of asparagus!” That made us all laugh.

We cleaned up dinner and then Autumn said she wanted me to help her play a game on the computer. It was like Bejeweled but it was balloons that would pop. I would show her which balloons to move and she actually did really well. I had tried showing her how to play a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse game last year and she had no idea how to move the mouse or which button to push and it made me nuts. I am sad to admit that I was very impatient w/ her back then. But they must be teaching her at college how to use the computer, b/c she knew how to maneuver the mouse this time.

It was already 8:30 before I knew it and so I packed her up and we came home and I put her to bed. Lately she’s been asking to sing “I love To See The Temple” while she looks at a picture of the Salt Lake Temple that I have framed and sitting on her dresser. I really do need to take her to the Dallas temple grounds soon so she can feel the Spirit that’s there and see a temple in person. I put her to bed and then worked on my blog b/c I have been so sick that I didn’t even blog. I know I’m super sick if I was even too tired and weak to want to blog! I watched Eat, Pray, Love while listening to the thunder outside. We got a big old rain storm that produced a little hail and only lasted for about 5 minutes. The lightning and thunder woke Autumn up and scared her so she came and got in bed with me. I LOVE lightning and thunder storms!
