Church today was really good and I signed up for a lot (6) different crafts to make at Super Saturday in July. I couldn’t decide on just 1 or 2, b/c the crafts are all so stinkin’ cute. Plus, it’s such good pricing and I’m going to make some for presents. On the way home, I saw these big bales of hale near these tall green plants (I think they’re corn, but I’m not sure). We had to stop and get a picture, but it was so bright outside that we were squinting.
Autumn looked so cute in her lavender dress next to the dark green stalks. She insisted that I put her hair in a side pony tail today.
She was trying to keep her hair from flying into her face b/c it was windy, but it looks like she’s strikin’ a model pose.
We came home and changed clothes and had creamy crock pot chicken that I started before we left for church. It was really good over whole wheat thin spaghetti. After that, we went over to Mom & Dad’s to take Nick some food. We haven’t been out in the garden since Mom & Dad left b/c of the chiggers. But since it was hot today I figured they might not be out as bad and we sprayed our legs w/ bug repellent. It’s a good thing we went out there b/c there were a BUNCH of veggies. We finally had to stop picking veggies b/c I had sweat running down my neck and dripping off my nose. This zucchini was as big as Autumn’s torso and was over a foot long!
There were also some huge yellow squash. Autumn started clanking them together like they were maracas.
We also got quite a few banana peppers and our first tomatoes. We got an entire WalMart sack full of green beans. I hope we still have veggies growing when Mom & Dad get back so they can enjoy them too.
Autumn said she was hungry and asked for some Ritz crackers. I gave her some to snack on while I cooked some zucchini and squash from the garden. I asked Autumn if she wanted some and when she didn’t answer, I turned around to see this…she had laid down on the love seat and covered up w/ a blanket and had the crackers in her hand while she was fast asleep. She’s so cute and sweet when she’s asleep.
Since I had some quiet/alone time, I decided to make the most of it. I scanned a bunch of pictures from my baby/childhood books. Autumn fell asleep around 5:30 and I hoped she would sleep the whole night, but she didn’t. She woke up at 11:30 and said she was hungry so I got her something to eat and then she was wide awake and ready to play. We ended up watching My Big Gypsy Wedding and the dresses those ladies wear are GINORMOUS! I was finally able to get her to go to sleep around 1:30 am.
