Today at work the phones were really quiet, so I started reading “Pretty Little Liars” online for free since I like the TV so much. It is a good and easy read so far. After school/work, Autumn & I went over to Mom & Dad’s house and Mom had a super yummy dinner ready of meatloaf, cabbage, and fried potatoes. Mom had a big bowl of fresh pineapple cut up for dessert, and Autumn kept saying she wanted some. We always tell her she has to “make a happy plate” or in other words, eat all the food on her plate, before she can have dessert. After she ate all of her food tonight, Dad made her happy plate LOOK like a happy plate by drawing a smiley face in ketchup. Autumn got a kick out of that and ate about 1/2 the bowl of pineapple all by herself.
She & Dad went out to swim and I tried looking up online what the actual 17 miracles were that were in the movie we saw on Saturday. Here is the list we came up with, in no particular order:
- The drunk husband didn’t recognize his wife and kids on the train even though he looked right at them
- The wolves didn’t harm the small crippled guy
- The wolves didn’t harm the baby (towards the end of the movie)
- Angels helped push the handcarts and were seen on hills
- Dried meat was provided (by who we think was John the Beloved)
- Mom sat down on a rock and refused to continue and her daughter prayed and food appeared out of nowhere
- A Mom put 2 hard biscuits in a pan w/ water and prayed and the whole big pot was filled with food
- Little girls were able to jump over rattlesnakes that blocked the path without being harmed
- A girl died and her Mom remembered a promise that was made to her that her whole family would make it, so they go back and bring the little girl back to life
- Shawl intact in tree and no body or bones found
- Rescue party comes just in the nick of time, if they had been even one day later, a significant amount more would have died
That was all we were able to come up with, and we posted that on the 17 Miracles Facebook page and asked if anyone knew what the other 6 were.
It was 8:00, so it was time to take Autumn home. She was running towards the gate and biffed it pretty bad. Dad picked her up and carried her inside so he could doctor her scrapes. She also got some TLC from Mimi. I just noticed the shirt Dad is wearing, and it’s so fitting b/c it’s so true.
Autumn finally calmed down and we gave her some Motrin to help w/ the pain. She kept hobbling around like she was seriously injured and we couldn’t help but chuckle to ourselves. She’s such a drama queen…just like her Mama. I made sure to kiss her owies very softly so they could get better faster.
This was our view on the way home. I didn’t do anything at all to this photo, it’s SOOC. I put Autumn to bed and then went over to Christine’s at 9:00 to watch the Bachelorette. She had a house FULL of people and kids and food. That’s what I want someday…to be the fun house where my kids and their friends all want to hang out. She even had chocolate covered salted caramels for us! They were DIVINE and just melted in your mouth. Karri also brought some chocolate chip cookies w/ just a hint of peanut butter in them. They were tasty as well.
I can’t believe that Ryan came back! I think the producers made him do it so they can set him up to be the Bachelor next season. He was just so pathetic and needy, which was annoying. We didn’t get to see the ending of the show, b/c it quit recording at 9:00 and the whole Obama interruption made the show go longer than 9:00. I really think she’s going to pick JP b/c she’s just so much more affectionate w/ JP than she is with Ben. I guess we’ll find out in 2 weeks. We are going to have to find another show to get together and watch after this season is over. I got home at 11:45 and went straight to bed.
