On our drive to “college” today, we saw this colorful air balloon in the sky. It was actually flying pretty low and Autumn was so excited to tell her teacher that she got to see a hot air balloon.
It was so slow at work today (even though I spent the morning preparing and submitting 3 orders), that I was able to upload my photos for Project Life to WalMart to have the pictures printed off. I got to leave at 4:45 today (hey, 15 minutes early is better than nothing at all) and stopped to pick up my pictures before I went and got Autumn. After I got her, we came home and she changed into this dress and played w/ her dolls. I got all my pictures put into my Project Life book in between making dinner. I gave Nick the majority of the pasta b/c he has such a huge appetite, so I was still hungry after dinner.
Autumn & I ran to Taco Bell and I got a baja chalupa in honor of it being Tara’s birthday today. We always used to make midnight runs to Taco Bell when we were in college together. The chalupa totally hit the spot and made me miss her so much!
Mom & Dad were celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary tonight, so they went out to dinner at a super fancy restaurant in town. They said the food was good, but not for the $ they spent. I’m glad that they would treat themselves to something really nice to celebrate. They are such an amazing example of how a marriage should be. They still have their issues, just like all married couples do, but they are still in love and make out at the dinner table all the time.
It seems like Autumn gets more spoiled every single week. How many Papas sit and brush their granddaughter’s hair? Autumn was also really happy to see Mimi. We all sat and talked and watched Say Yes To The Dress; Atlanta for a little while.
I can’t think about July 15th without thinking about Tara, b/c it’s her birthday. She really was a godsend to me when we first met back in 1999. We just had an instant connection and are more like sisters than just friends.
We spent 2 years together as RA’s in college and then she came and lived with me in Utah while she finished school. There was a while where we didn’t speak to each other b/c I chose a guy over her (totally dumb on my part), but when we did start talking again, it was as if no time had ever passed. Even after she moved back to Texas, we were there for the big events in each other’s lives.
And even though Michael is now married to Elizabeth (which I am super happy about), I can’t forget to mention that today is Tara & Michael’s anniversary. I miss her every single day and am thankful everyday that Heavenly Father put us in each other’s lives. Love ya more than my luggage, girl!
