Busy Evening

Today after work/school, I got Autumn and we ran to Subway to share a sandwich for dinner.  You think Autumn’s used to me telling her to smile?  LOL!  We ate and then went back over to Autumn’s “college” for a meeting w/ the director about the Pre-K class Autumn is in.  He talked about the learning approach they use and why, talked about stats of how kids from these classes do better all through elementary school, etc.  Autumn’s “college” is more expensive than the other place she was at, but it is worth every penny more.  They have an actual curriculum and Autumn’s Pre-K teacher has a PhD!  I’m so glad she’s there b/c they help to prepare the kids for Kindergarten, not just babysit them.

After the meeting, we went over to Karri’s house so Karri and I could go visiting teaching and Kylie watched Autumn for me.  It was a nice visit and I’m so glad I didn’t have to worry about Autumn at all while I was gone.  We got back to Karri’s house and Autumn was coloring and wanted to finish the picture she was on.  After that, we were going to go home but Mom called and said she needed me to bring her iPhone charger and swimsuit, so we went to her house.  It was funny, b/c Dad called to see where we were b/c he was at our house!  He came to his house and Autumn talked him into making us a smoothie.  She was happy to finish off the last few drops of the Typhoon Mt. Dew (which I think tastes really good).

We got the stuff we needed and headed home b/c it was already 9:15 by this point.  I put Autumn to bed and started packing for our road trip tomorrow.  Nick came home from work and we watched Whose Line together.  There were a few skits where we were laughing so hard we almost cried.  I am going to be so tired in the morning and still have a little packing to do.
