I am almost done reading Nineteen Minutes, and 5:00 could not get here fast enough today. I even left at lunch and went and got a Subway sandwich and a pineapple mango smoothie at McDonald’s. I’ve been wanting to try one for a long time and decided that today was the day. It was god, but not something I would get all the time b/c that could get expensive fast. I got Autumn from “college” and we went home to change our clothes super fast and then rushed over to Mom & Dad’s house. We picked up Nate and headed to a baseball game. Dad got tickets to the suite, which was pretty sweet. That’s the best way to watch a baseball game, b/c we get chicken fingers, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, corn dogs, chips, and drinks. Autumn was loving it for sure.
Nate drove over w/ us b/c Mom & Dad & Nick went to pick up Nick’s date, Sariah. She is such a sweet heart and she and Nick talked the whole game and seemed to have a great time.
Autumn was thrilled when Deuce came into the suite and sat down in one of the chairs and pretended to play with the iPad. I made sure to give Mom my camera before he came into the suite so she could get pictures and I stayed outside on the balcony. I also had my escape plan into another suite in case he decided to come outside. But, luckily he stayed inside the suite w/ the kids. I’m glad Autumn did NOT inherit my fear of people in costumes.
Scott, our guy that takes care of us came to check on us and make sure all the food was good. He also brought us a bunch of these cool hats. I’ll have to remember to wear mine to all the baseball games we go to in the future.
Here’s our whole crew. Mom & Dad invited the Croft’s from their ward and they brought their son (which was fun for Nate to have someone to chill with) and their 3 granddaughters, which Autumn loved. She had a blast talking and playing with them. They kept her entertained and vice versa. Bro. Crofts was even nice/brave enough to take all 4 girls to go get ice cream. Autumn got a bubble gum flavor that had real gum in it, and she thought that was the coolest thing in the world.
The Rough Riders lost, but since it was a Friday night, they did fireworks. I was super impressed w/ how many fireworks there were and how long it lasted. It was late by the time we got home, but Autumn had such a great time w/ the new friends and fireworks that it was worth being out late. I just hope she’ll sleep in tomorrow morning.
