I Don’t Know How We Do It

P1030185 I let Autumn wear her cowboy boots to school again today b/c she wanted to and I think they look so adorable w/ her skort and shirt.  I took a few pictures and she wouldn’t smile, so when I told her to smile, this is what I got.  What a ham.

P1030186 After work/school, we came home and had some dinner and then Dad called to see if we wanted to go to a football game.  I had already made plans w/ Liz but he said he would take Autumn and they could have a Papa & Autumn date.  So, I dressed her in some long pants and this cute long-sleeved shirt b/c it’s starting to get cool in the evenings.  I got both of them on clearance this spring for $3 each.  Love a good deal.  I don’t know why she’s saluting in this picture, but it’s cute and we'll pretend it’s in honor of Uncle Nate being in the Air Force.

But, when we got over to his house, it had started raining and lightning, plus there were no football games being played locally.  He looked it up online, and one local team had a bye tonight and the other one was playing an away game.  So, Dad took Autumn to McDonald’s to play and have fun.

P1030188Liz & I went and saw “I Don’t Know How She Does It” starring Sarah Jessica Parker.  I thought it was a cute movie even though the critics gave it horrible ratings.  I think I liked it more than the average person b/c I could relate to what it’s like to be a working mother and finding balance.  My one bad critique of the movie is Mrs. SJP’s hands!  They are scary and look like cadaver hands.  Every time they showed them on the screen I would jump and gasp a little bit b/c they were so bad and distracting.  Perez Hilton even posts a picture of how bad they are right HERE.

Anyways, it was awesome spending time with Liz.  We got there 30 minutes before the movie started b/c we thought it would be crowded since it was opening night.  We got inside the theater lobby and there were 2 huge lines.  We went to get in line, but found out that the lines were for Lion King in 3D.  Really?  Why pay to go watch that in the theater when I can watch it at home for free?  I know it’s in 3D, but I don’t care for 3D movies that much.  So, we got to go to the very front of the line for our movie b/c no one else was there yet to see it.  B/c Liz was huffing and puffing w/ walking and being pregnant the ticket taker let us go in early and sit on a bench outside the theater room while they finished cleaning it.  I told Liz I am going to start taking her everywhere so we can get special privileges.  I said we could go to Six Flags so I can ride the rides and she can just sit and wait for me since she can’t ride the rides while being pregnant.  We both got a good laugh out of the whole situation.

After the movie, we went back to Mom & Dad’s house so Liz could get her car and then I came to my house b/c Dad was trying to put Autumn to bed.  It was 10:15, but she was hyper and pinging off the walls and wasn’t ready to go to sleep, which is surprising since she didn’t take a nap today.  She was still hyper when I got in bed and laid down w/ her and I finally had to put my hand over her mouth and tell her to stop talking and go to sleep!  We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow.
