This morning Autumn & I actually slept in until 8:15, which is late for us. That makes me laugh b/c back in college I used to stay up until 3 am and then easily sleep in until 11. But now 8:15 is sleeping in late. Oh, well. I wouldn’t trade this phase of my life for anything. Autumn & I made pancakes for breakfast and then I took Autumn to Mom & Dad’s. Mom watched her for me so I could go get my nails done After that, I walked down to Once Upon A Child to see if they had any baby blessing outfits for Jackson. They didn’t but I got Autumn 2 adorable dresses. I went to Kid To Kid and was able to find 2 blessing outfits for Baby Jackson. OUAC is way better than K2K b/c they had a way better selection of things. Mom said to stop by Market Street and get Penne Dolcelatta for lunch. I came home and we ate and had Autumn try on her new dresses. I just noticed that her legs look so long in this picture. I adore this dress and this it looks so cute on her.
While Mom & I were sitting and talking Autumn yelled for us to look at her. She was so proud of herself for planking across the chair and couch. It made Mom & I laugh b/c we haven’t talked about or done any planking in forever. What a kid.
I can’t even express how happy I am that football is back on TV. We sat and watched some college football while Mom & I cut out the different parts for this scarecrow. Christine is going to use it in Primary for music time. It was nice to have something to do while just sitting and watching TV.
Mom & Autumn & I went to WalMart to do some grocery shopping. I had 3 items on my list that I absolutely had to get. A pink leotard, a pink skirt, and pink ballet slippers (although I think these look more like house slippers instead of ballet slippers). Autumn wanted to hold her bag of ballet items the whole way home and the second we walked in the door, she ran in the bathroom and changed into her outfit all by herself. Her class isn’t until Thursday but she couldn’t wait. I think she looks absolutely adorable.
She was already showing me her sweet moves and I can’t wait for her to take some classes and really learn some real ballet things. I hope she loves it and does so well and excels. I’ll have to watch myself and make sure I don’t turn into one of those crazy dance Moms. But isn’t that the whole point of having kids…to live vicariously through them (I’m partially kidding and partially not). Ba ha ha!
We just spent the rest of the evening relaxing and watching TV. Autumn & I came home so I could put her to bed. Nick had gotten the mail and I thought this was a cool idea. Instead of a perfume sample, it was a little tasting strip. It actually tasted like a cherry limeade! Pretty creative advertising if you ask me.
Another thing I got at WalMart were these pictures I had printed off for my Project Life. Some people print off pictures every day, but I can’t afford a printer and ink so I just wait until I have a few weeks worth of pictures and then have them printed at WalMart. I spent the rest of the evening cropping the corners on my pictures and putting them in my book, all while watching Steel Magnolias on my laptop. That movie just does good things for my soul.
