Dad went and got Autumn from college today at 4:00 so they could have some “good friend time,” which usually includes going to the park or getting a treat. They ended up going to WalMart and he let her pick out a treat. She picked some Rapunzel fruit snacks and they went to the park to eat them and play on the playground. They were home by the time I got off work and were outside in the driveway working on bike riding. Dad was able to find the helmet and made sure she was wearing it.
We ate some dinner and then watched a little TV. We had a big group of people show up at 7:30. Liz & Liberty & Liz’s Mom came over to pick up some folding chairs for Liz’s baby shower on Saturday. At the same time, some people from Sherman showed up to look at some chairs I had posted on craigslist. Dad’s clinic didn’t need them anymore since they upgraded to benches. They said the chairs will work great in their new podiatrist office. I asked them if they were Mormon b/c they just seemed Mormon, and sure enough, they were. They were both at BYU the same time I was. Small world, huh? Dad went in the house and got some little fun sized packs of M&M’s for their 5 kids that were waiting in the Suburban (another give away that they were Mormon). I’m glad they’ll be able to use these chairs in their business and they got a great deal on them.
I went back in and apologized to Liz & Liberty that they had to sit and wait for me. We sat and visited for a while, which was so nice b/c I haven’t seen them in a long time. I didn’t even know that Liz hasn’t been working for the past few weeks b/c her doctor put her on bed rest. It was also great to see Liz’s Mom again. She’s a neat lady. They took the folding chairs and then had to go b/c they wanted to get a pumpkin pie shake at the new Dairy Queen that opened in town.
Autumn & I left when they did, b/c we needed to run to WalMart and get some groceries. I don’t know how, but Autumn forgot her shoes at Mom & Dad’s so she had to sit in the cart b/c she was barefoot. She is almost too big to sit in the cart b/c of her long legs. She was being silly and kept acting like an alligator that was going to bite me. She cracks me up. We came home, put the groceries away, I put her to bed, and started working on Project Life. I am obsessed and wasn’t able to tear myself away from it until 2:00 am again. I am going to be so exhausted tomorrow, but it is so worth it!
