Tonight after work Mom & Autumn & I went to dinner at Logan’s Roadhouse. Mom picked Autumn up at college and we met at the restaurant. We went to dinner there b/c of the gift certificate I got as a white elephant gift at the pool party. Someone had told us they have good deals before $6, but we didn’t see any. So, we asked our waitress and she brought us a paper that wasn’t on the menu. It was 2 entrees with 2 sides each for just $14.99 and the kids’ meals were just $2.99!!! Um, yes please! So, we got 3 meals and even had a bunch of leftovers for Nick and didn’t have to spend a single penny b/c of the gift certificate. Isn’t my Mom so pretty, and Autumn is the one that took this picture!
It was fun to spend time w/ Autumn and Mom and just sit and talk and have a girl’s night.
When we got home, it was only 6:30 and it was nice and cool outside b/c it had rained all day today. After seeing how ginormous my arm and triple chins look in the picture at the restaurant, I decided that I needed some exercise. So even though it was dark, Autumn and I went on a walk around the neighborhood. It was awesome b/c we jammed out to songs on my phone while we walked. We’ll for sure have to do that again.
Then Autumn wanted to have a dance party before it was bedtime. She sheepishly asked me if she could dance on the counter and usually I would say no, but then I thought about it, and it wasn’t going to hurt anything if she did. Plus, it made a super fun memory and that’s way more important than a few dirty footprints on the counter that can easily be wiped off. I felt like I was honing my inner Kelle Hampton by living in the moment, and it made me super happy to dance around w/ Autumn.
I put her to bed and worked on PL while watching Julie & Julia on TV. I was going to go over to Christine’s to watch The Bachelor but I got a rip roaring headache and Nick wasn’t home from work in time so I just called it a night and am going to bed.
