Fancy Tea Party With Mac & Cheese

IMG_5365 We had a nice and relaxing morning.  I made some no bake cookies b/c I had a hankerin’.  Then we got ready for church and I had Nick get a picture of Autumn & I in our new clothes.  I got this dress for Autumn at a consignment store for a Valentine’s gift and I got this shirt at Goodwill yesterday.  This kind of looks like a weird prom picture b/c Autumn’s got her hands over her tummy and my smile looks fake b/c I kept telling Nick to push the button but he was taking forever.  Oh, well.  I’d rather have a picture of Autumn & I together even if it’s not ideal than not to have one at all.

IMG_5369Autumn always asks for mac & cheese for lunch on Sundays, so that’s what we had.  I was going to save our teacups for a special occasion, but I figured what better time than the present?  So, we had our fancy tea party w/ cream soda in our teacups while we ate our oh so fancy mac & cheese!  LOL!  I kept talking w/ a British accent and at first Autumn thought it was funny but then she wanted me to stop and told me to “talk normal.”

Church was good today, and after it was over Autumn & I came home and had dinner.  We didn’t go over to Mom & Dad’s house like usual b/c they had gone for a drive to check out a place Dad could ride his bike.  Right after we finished eating dinner, we went visiting teaching.  Autumn was such a good girl and helped entertain my visiting teaching partner’s 3 year old boy.  We talked for a while and then I gave the 2 ladies each a Forget Me Not bookmark and magnet for the lesson.

Autumn & I didn’t stay really long b/c we needed to get home.  We got some things done and then watched Once Upon A Time.  Autumn wanted me to play w/ her, so I laid down on the floor and flipped her over.  We were having so much fun laughing and playing together.  It was SO SWEET in her prayer before bed time when she said, “and I’m thankful to be happy that my Mama flipped me and we had fun together.”  It melted my heart.  I love her so much and love to spend time w/ her doing fun things that hopefully create memories.

A Mom had written on their blog about what her first memory was, and how she wonders what her children’s first memory will be and how she wants to make sure it’s a good one and that the ones after that first one will be positive and happy.  I’ve also been thinking about that lately and wondering what Autumn’s first memory will be???
