Feeling Sick Friday

Today at work it was steady but not too busy.  Around 3:30, I started coughing and my eyes started to get hot.  Mom always laughs at me when I say my eyes get hot, but it’s true and that’s how my body is telling me that I’m getting sick.  It was really slow after lunch, so I asked if I could leave at 4:30 b/c I didn’t feel good.  I was going to stop at Sonic and get a drink for my throat, but decided I needed something more than just soda.  So, I went to Smoothie King and got an immune booster drink.  It was expensive ($4.97 for a small), but so worth it and it actually did help my throat a little bit.

I went and got Autumn and we went to Mom & Dad’s house.  We had leftovers for dinner and then Nick had rented 2 movies from Redbox.  We watched Mr. Popper’s Penguins first and I didn’t have very high expectations for that one.  However, it was really really good and I was pleasantly surprised.   Then we watched Cowboys vs Aliens and that was pretty good, too.  Not one I would every go out and buy but it was entertaining.

Autumn loves doing this puzzle and enlisted Papa to help her with it.  I’m glad she likes doing puzzles b/c we are a puzzle doing family, especially around the holidays.

It was getting late by the time the 2nd movie was over, so Autumn & I packed up to come home.  It had been raining and lightning and thundering, which I love.  When we left to go home, these huge storm clouds were off to the East and kept lighting up.  I tried to get a picture, but this was the best I could get.  I love nature and seeing Heavenly Father’s creations.
