Today on the way home from work, the sky looked so cool. There were light clouds, dark clouds, blue sky peeking through, and streams of bright sunlight. So pretty!
Another pretty thing was this big fat bumblebee that was flying around and finally landed on the wisteria. Nick asked me how I got this picture b/c I do NOT like bees, hornets, etc. I was standing really far back and zoomed in as far as my camera would go.
It was so nice outside that we had hamburgers and grilled veggies and ate out on the patio. After we ate, the kids went off to play in the sand box. They (usually) play so well together and I’m glad they’re close to the same age.
We finally came in the house when it started to get dark and the bugs came out. Andrew was laying down on the floor playing w/ Jackson and Autumn took my camera and laid down on the floor and took this picture of them. I thought she was too close and that the picture would turn out blurry, but she did a great job and I think this is such a cute picture. You can tell they are for sure brothers, and I love that they have different colored eyes.
We decided to have FHE tonight since we didn’t have it on Monday. Autumn led the music while we sang a song.
Then after the prayer, Lexie gave a great lesson on what prayer is and how we should say them. we start with “Dear Heavenly Father” then we say what’s in our heart to thank Him for the blessings we’ve been given. Next we ask Him for things we need. We always end our prayer with, “in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.” It cracks me up that Jackson isn’t paying attention and is smiling at me. Lexie had us all pass around a little plush heart and say something we were thankful for. Then we passed it around again and said something we could ask for in our prayers tonight. She did a GREAT job and the kids loved it.
I know something I’m incredibly thankful for that I make sure to mention in my prayers regularly…being so close to family so we can create memories together like this. I am so blessed.
