All week Autumn has been asking if she could have a sleep over at Papa & Mimi’s house w/ Andrew. I kept telling her we could on Friday b/c it wasn’t a school night. She was SO EXCITED that it was pajama day at “college” today b/c it’s Spring Break and they tried to make things fun this week for the kids. She looked so fashionable in her purple princess jammies.
After school Autumn was giddy w/ excitement. She couldn’t wait to get to over to Papa & Mimi’s to play w/ Andrew. Lexie & Mom were making Ling Lings (pot stickers) for dinner, so I held Jackson while they worked in the kitchen. Autumn decided we were having fun and she wanted in on the action, so she came and sat on my lap, too. Then Andrew felt left out so he sat on my lap also. It’s a good thing I have long femurs. Jackson wouldn’t look at Lexie for the pic even though she was making all sorts of noises. He was fixated on my necklace.
After dinner, the kids wanted Papa to play w/ them. They went in the back room and we heard them laughing and giggling like crazy. Dad was down on the floor wrestling w/ them and the kids kept saying he was a june bug and they were squishing him. LOL!
I told Andrew to go get on his jammies so we could start our pajama party. I took the kids and we went to WalMart to get a movie from Redbox & a treat. We got some strawberry Little Debbie rolls. I am loving the deal on Totino’s pizza boxes. You get a free Redbox movie rental, and the pizza is only $1.38, so that’s a great deal since Redbox movies are $1.20 now. As you can tell from this picture, the kids were thrilled. LOL! They really were excited, but I couldn’t get them to smile b/c they were being silly.
Oh, I also let them each pick out a Gatorade. They were excited to start the PAR-TAY!
But what good is a PAR-TAY w/out a funny picture?
They got out their sleeping bags and we put on the movie, Beverly Hills Chihuahua II. They also requested popcorn, b/c what fun is a movie w/ out popcorn? Lexie & I both thought they would both be asleep w/ in 30 minutes since it was already 9:30 pm when we started the movie. To our shock, they both stayed awake for the whole movie! As soon as it was over we told them it was time for bed. I was surprised that they both wanted to sleep in the living room. I thought they would want to go sleep in a bed, but they didn’t. So, Lexie and I told them good night, left a light on for them, and we all went to bed. It was a great night.
