This morning we got up and had breakfast and then Autumn wanted to watch a movie. Selena was on TV, so we decided to watch that. She liked it and kept asking a lot of questions. Sometimes it gets annoying, especially when she asks questions that I don’t know the answers to and then she gets mad when I say I don’t know. But, I have to remind myself that asking questions is how she learns things and that I need to be patient w/ her. Church was good and after church we went to Mom & Dad’s for dinner. Mom had roast and carrots and potatoes and gravy. After we ate, Autumn wanted to go outside to play and enjoy the nice weather.
I went outside w/ her and put a towel out on the diving board and laid on that while I watched her twirl. She even came over and laid down on me and talked and snuggled for a while. I told her to go over and give this gargoyle a kiss, and I was surprised that she actually did it.
I had to leave to go to a Young Womanhood Recognition night at the Stake Center. The 4 oldest Laurels in our class got their awards tonight, along w/ Sis. Lee. It’s so much work to achieve the award, and I’m proud of the girls for putting forth the effort. After that was over, I went back to Mom & Dad’s and got Autumn and we came home. She said she was hungry, so I cooked one of Nick’s Totinos pizzas and put out a blanket on the floor and we had a little pizza picnic. She thought that was the coolest thing ever. So often it’s the simple things that mean so much!
