This Saturday morning started out nice and slow and relaxing. Autumn & I had cereal for breakfast and while we were eating, she started sounding out the words on this box. She was reading me the letters and trying to figure out what they were saying. I was so proud of her for making an effort. She’ll be starting to read pretty soon and that makes me so happy for her.
After breakfast, Autumn wanted to go outside and play. She took my camera w/ her to take some more pics. She got this one, which is really good.
She also got this one of a cool spider web on the fence.
She is the roly poly whisperer. LOL! She came in the house and was so excited to show me all of the roly polys she had caught.
I got some projects done like fixing all of these bows. Yeah for the hot glue gun and getting some things off my to-do list.
Mom called and said she was hungry and wanted to get out of the house. So, we hurried and got cleaned up and met her at Fuzzy Taco. I am happy to report that it tasted so much better this time than it did the first time I tried it. They give you a ton of food and it’s not very expensive at all. We ate and sat and talked and then Dad was even able to join us once the clinics slowed down b/c he was just on backup.
After eating, they went to run some errands and Autumn & I went to WalMart to pic up some pics I had printed off and to get some groceries. I took this pic to show how Autumn likes to make towers and what she calls “castles” of all the things we’re buying. She just sat in the cart and talked and played and had a good old time. Don’t worry…I know it’s not safe for her to stand up in the cart and I made her sit down the second after I took this picture. Also, all those Totino’s pizzas are for Nick b/c that’s one of the few things he knows how to fix for himself.
We stopped by Target so I could get a watch, b/c the one I’ve been wearing for about 2 years got lost and all of the metal finish had rubbed off. There is a good reason I have grounded myself from the Dollar Spot, b/c we found so many cute things there like all of these gardening things. We got some for our garden and some for Mary’s garden b/c she was talking about needing some just the other day.
When Mom & Dad got back from running their errands, we all went outside to plant some of the flowers Mom & Dad got.
This cute pinwheel was one of the things we found at the Dollar Spot. Autumn was mesmerized, and just sat and watched it spin. Dad really does such an incredible job of making the backyard look pretty. It’s like our own little Garden of Eden.
Mom is SO HAPPY w/ her new front door. When they had some guys here painting the other day, she asked them to repaint the front door. It used to be a dark green and now it’s a pretty blue.
We called Mary to see if she was home so we could come over and bring her the treats we found for her garden. She was so happy and said she’d make sure to have Curt put them out there tonight. We were talking and I noticed she had a bunch of MiO liquid water enhancers and asked her if they were any good. Instead of just saying yes, she got out a bunch of little paper cups and had us do a taste test of all of them. She cracks me up!
Autumn Bottom & I finally came home after a long & full day of playing and having fun and being happy and making other people happy. She asked to lay on the couch and watch a movie, so I put one on and she was asleep within 5 minutes. I love this picture of her b/c she’s so sweet and innocent looking when she’s asleep. I also like that it captures how she sleeps…w/ her favorite pink blankey & stuffed animal rabbit & puppy.
