Today at work I got everything done that I needed to and had some time to kill. In between answering the phones, I started reading Tiger’s Curse for free at onread.com. Mary had suggested it to me and it’s really good so far. It says online that there will be a movie of this in 2015. I think there’s even a sequel to this book.
Mom called to say she wanted to have an “everyone on their own night” tonight. But, Dad called and said he needed Autumn’s “help” to pick green beans, so we went over. The first thing I noticed was this stand where Dad had set up the Texas welcome sign. It looks so cool sitting by the pool.
We went out to the garden to help Dad pick green beans. It was so hot and humid and muggy today. We had sweat just dripping down our faces. We got a small bowl full of green beans and then we thinned out the beets and turnips.
While we were working, I noticed at least 6 butterflies on these big onion blossoms.
They were absolutely beautiful and we all stopped to watch them for a while. I took over 30 pictures and these 3 were my favorites.
I like this one the most b/c you can see the bee at the bottom, a butterfly in the middle w/ its wings open, and a butterfly at the top getting ready to take off. I could have sat and watched them all evening.
But, we didn’t stay all night b/c we were hungry. We went to Subway and got a sandwich to share and one for Nick. It was nice to eat dinner together around our table. I gave Autumn a shower b/c she was a stink bug Johnson and then once she was in bed I watched Grey’s Anatomy. I also worked on putting my PLife plastics into my new Cobalt (for 2012) and Vanilla colored (for 2010) We R Memory Keepers binders that came in the mail today.
