Yesterday when Autumn & I were out shopping at WalMart, we found these cute trays for under $2. Autumn wanted the blue one and I got a green one. We had to try them out for our breakfast-in-bed trays and they were perfect! I put on Steel Magnolias while Autumn played dolls in the living room and I worked a little bit on Project Life. It was a memorable Mama moment to share such an iconic movie w/ her. Autumn loved the movie and kept saying that she was “the one w/ the pretty curly hair,” meaning Shelby.
We got cleaned up and had some lunch and then got ready to leave for church. Autumn dressed herself, and I asked her if she really wanted to wear that jacket b/c it’s too hot to wear it but she stuck by her fashion choices. I especially love the hot pink necklace and multi-colored bracelets. She’s such a fashionista!
I taught a lesson in YWomen’s today and it went well, especially b/c I brought cookies to go along w/ the lesson. After church we went over to Mom & Dad’s house to say hi since they had been gone for a few days to the Port Aransas Sand Fest Contest. They had a few presents to share, and this shirt was so perfect…”Papa’s Lil’ Princess.”
She also got this cool june bug necklace. She kept asking if it was alive b/c she wanted it to move around, and we assured her it was a real bug, but that it wasn’t alive.
Mom & Dad also got this cool stone in the shape of Texas that has colored glass. Mom said there’s a 2nd piece that goes along w/ it, but they didn’t have it out yet. We ate dinner and then Autumn & I had to go b/c our Home Teachers were coming over at 5:30. They ended up having to cancel b/c a family thing came up for them. But that’s OK b/c Autumn & I had to go visiting teaching at 6:00 anyways. It was a good visit even though we were there for over an hour. Autumn went and sat at the kitchen table and colored pictures w/ her markers that I let her bring.
We came home and she wanted to watch “that Snow White show”, meaning Once Upon A Time. We caught the last 1/2 of it and then it was time for some snuggles and getting ready for bed. I love Springtime Sundays.
