Today at work, Bobbie said she wanted to go get lunch, and I hadn’t brought mine so we went to Jason’s Deli. This is what I got and it was $8. The soup was good and the white fruit dip was good, but that was about it. I was not impressed and it didn’t even fill me up. I would much rather get a drink, sweet potato fries, and panini for $2 less.
After work/”college” we went to Mom & Dad’s for dinner and then I had to leave for Young Women’s. Mom kept Autumn for me b/c the activity tonight was for all the 14-18 year old boys and girls in our stake to watch the BYU International Folk Dance Team come and perform. They are doing a real show in the metroplex tomorrow night, so it was a real treat for them to come and spend some time with our youth. They did some dances from back in the pioneer days and it was fun and upbeat. Then the band on the stage performed some more songs while the dancers changed. They came back and did a Bollywood dance, which was really cool.
After that, we heard some more songs from the band and then the dancers came back out and taught all the youth some dances. It was so fun to watch them and it seemed like everyone enjoyed themselves. I finally left at 8:20 so I could go and get Autumn and bring her home to put her to bed. I ended up staying at Mom & Dad’s to watch the recorded episode of Modern Family. It was funny, but not the best one I’ve seen. I got Autumn to bed and went to download my pics from tonight and realized my point and click camera was missing. I figured I probably just left it over at Mom & Dad’s b/c I’ve done that before in the past. I didn’t worry about it and figured I’d just get it tomorrow when we went over for dinner.
I was disappointed that there weren’t any hot brown guys in the dance troupe. I’ve seen this group perform at BYU before and they did ethnic dances from all over the world and American Indian and Polynesian dances were part of it. But then I had to laugh at myself when I realized that even if there were any cute brown boys there, I am at least 10 years older than them. I graduated from BYU 11 years ago! How on Earth did I get to be so old? It feels like I was going to college just a few years ago. Oh, well…at least I can laugh at myself about it.
