Here was another teacher gift we did for Autumn’s teachers. I just filled the little Chinese take out looking boxes (that I found at the $1 store) with some candy. I got the idea from the eighteen25 blog. I was so happy w/ how well Autumn wrote “fortunate” and her name. She has really improved a lot in the past few months. And again, I am loving that I can just use cute left over cards from my Project Life kit for the notes.
I discovered this flavored water at WalMart the other night and it’s my new favorite drink. It has no sugar, fat, sodium, or calories and it tastes like a pina colada. “That’s something I can get on board with” (that one’s for you, Brenner.)
After work Mom called and said they had a late lunch and weren’t hungry. So, we decided to all do our own thing tonight. I have been craving a Fuzzy Taco salad for a while, so Autumn & I went there for dinner and shared it.
After that, we went over to a used book store to see if they had “Oh the places you’ll go” by Dr. Seuss. I read on someone’s blog (sorry, I can’t remember which one) that they got the book and had their children’s teachers sign the book each year and then when their child graduated, they gave their child the book as a present. I LOVED that idea, but the used book store didn’t have the book. Autumn found a book and sat down on this stool while I was looking for the book. She was pretending to read it, and was even turning the book around to show her “class” the pictures. I snuck out my phone and tried to take a picture, but she turned right as I was taking the pic. I love this pic even though the book is blurry. I love her little smile that she had been caught.
On the way home we stopped by this field that had my favorite purple thistle blossoms. I haven't taken any pictures of them yet this year and they are starting to dry out, so I had to get a pic. It was kind of fun to watch this bee on the blossom from a distance. We came home and just vegged b/c Autumn wanted to play w/ her dolls. I called Mom and she said my camera wasn’t there. I knew it wasn’t here, and so I thought back in my mind to the last time I used it. I realized it was at Young Women’s and I worried that I had left it on a table in the gym. I sent a message to 3 of the ladies in my ward that were sitting near the table watching the kids dance to see if any of them had noticed it or picked it up. I sure hope one of them gets back to me to let me know they have it! I feel lost w/ out it and luckily have the camera on my iPhone so I could at least take these pictures today.
