The One Where Autumn Made Her 1st Sandwich All By Herself

P1070097 After work/school today we went over to Mom & Dad’s to fix dinner and check on Nick & Emma.  Nick & I wrote out a menu of meals we wanted to make, b/c I hate trying to figure out what to fix for dinner when I’m hungry & tired after work.  We were going to do meatloaf tonight, but had so much crock pot chicken left over that we just had that for dinner along w/ some fried zucchini from the garden.  I noticed that there were dish towels under the dishwasher and asked Nick what happened.  He said he started it and it had started leaking.  I looked to see what was wrong and noticed lots of bubbles on the bottom rack.  I knew right away what had happened…he had used regular dish soap instead of the powdered dishwashing packets Mom uses.  I explained to him that he can’t use regular dish soap b/c it foams up to much.  Oh, well…live & learn.  I’m just glad he noticed it and turned off the dishwasher before it got too out of control.

P1070098Autumn was really hungry & couldn’t wait for the rice to finish cooking to eat dinner.  She got out some bread, jam, and made her own sandwich for the very first time all by herself.  I am so proud of her!  She is growing up so much.  I still teasingly tell her all the time to stop growing and she just laughs and says, “no way.”  We spent the rest of the evening watching some DVD episodes of Big Bang Theory and the SLC auditions of SYTYCD.  I was blown away by the last audition and that heavier set guy that did the flip!  He was amazing & I was sad he didn’t make it through choreography b/c he had so much heart.  Autumn & I had fun getting up and dancing around when they played music.  We ended the evening w/ a wrestle fest and then went home and I put her to bed.

Nick came home w/ us so I could go over to Karri’s to watch the Bachelorette.  I was so homesick for Slovenija last week & again this week b/c Dubrovnik & Prague look so much like Slovenija.  I was so sad to see Doug get sent home, b/c I really liked him.  Chris is a creeper & there are major red flags w/ him, so I was sad to see she kept him.  I wished she would have told John if she had planned on sending him home even before Chris talked to her right before she handed out the final rose, or if talking to Chris had changed her mind.  That wasn’t fair to John, even though he was boring and needed to go eventually.  We were laughing so hard when Jef said she wouldn’t get to meet his parents b/c they were in South Carolina for a few years.  We all figured it was b/c they are serving a mission there, or are mission presidents.  As usual, the best part was just hanging out & talking & laughing w/ the ladies.
