Week 24 was full of fun & swimming & a rodeo & 2 parties in one day & Father’s Day. To see the blog post that goes along w/ the pic (the post doesn’t always match up to the exact day of the week) just click on the day of the week.
Monday ~ I wanted to get a picture of our after-shower routine. I was going to crop out all the cluttered items on the countertop, but realized that’s a part of real life. So, I included those in the shot.
Tuesday ~ I don’t think I blogged about this one. This is a hand drill that Mom used to use all the time. A long time ago when I was a Freshman in high school, Mom was in her craft room and I was laying under her craft table talking to her, which I did a lot. I saw this hand drill sitting on the ground, picked it up, and for some crazy reason I put it on the top of my Mom’s foot and slowly turned the handle. She let out a scream and asked me what on Earth I was doing. I said, “Oh, did that hurt?” She said that of course it hurt and to go away & leave her alone. Anyways, it’s a big family joke now to say to each other, “Oh, did that hurt?” I haven’t seen this hand drill in years, so when I saw it sitting out on the counter today I knew I had to get a pic of it and record that funny story that goes along w/ it.
Wednesday ~ Lexie & Andrew & I went and saw Madagascar 3. It was cute and we came out of the theater singing the Afro Circus song.
Thursday ~ Autumn said that she needed a bigger basket to carry all her Barbies. I didn’t realize she had so many b/c I usually find a few here & there scattered around the house. I told her to get all her Barbies and lay them out together. She has at least 24! YIKES!
Friday ~ One of the vendors from work had tickets to a suite at the rodeo, and I got 4 of the tickets. It was a blast and we had a great time. I was obsessed w/ the bar stool made out of an old tractor seat and horseshoes.
Saturday ~ Mom & I made this cool American Flag cake to take to Tyler’s Flag Day Party. It was a lot of fun w/ good food and good friends. Then we had to leave and come home so I could have my own swim party w/ some friends I used to work w/ at the pest control company.
Sunday ~ Happy Father’s Day! We’re so blessed to have THE BEST Dad/Papa in the whole wide world.
Anytime I use this filler card I write down what songs Autumn & I like jamming out to. An oldie but goodie is Lovin’ You by Minnie Riperton. We try to hit the crazy high note she does on the chorus and laugh our heads off every time.
I’m linked up over at The Mom Creative.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY Y’ALL!!!
